How do you find it clunky? It's a nice looking OS with good typography, easy on the eyes and very intuitive. Especially with multi-tasking and shortcuts, not to mention iMessage and Handoff are some of the features iOS users will appreciate. Also it's Unix kernel - very stable.

You could say almost the same thing about Win10... it's just a matter of taste and what you are used to work with.
And stabililty... unless you do something really stupid, I never had issues with windows in the last 10 years.

Sure, but Windows just needs to be tweaked more to be enjoyed and in the hands of a non-techy person it just is a terrible OS to upkeep, although it has gotten better.

OS X on the other hand, you can give it to a grandma who doesn't know computer and she doesn't have to be an IT to take care of it. Also OS upgrades are easy in OS X, not windows.

Discount or no discount, buying a Mac right now is like paying full price for a ticket to a game that is in its final minutes.
Over the hill CPU, USB, Thunderbolt etc. A completely new MBP line and dropping Air is likely in the cards so keep your money or go XPS 15 if you badly need a computer right now.

Make sure to check out our Cyber Monday Deals roundup for more online deals. There are some excellent discounts this year on a range of products, including iPhones, iPads and Macs, in addition to dozens of Apple-related accessories.

Hey, all! I just wanted to send you a quick thank you for all the work you are doing in getting this information out to everyone. I appreciate it a lot. Please do keep up the great work!

Logically, the rMBP should be getting a re-design in 2016, but the fact Apple is STILL selling the 2012 13" cMBP has me doubting it. Also, the 15" rMBP is in dire need a price drop. I do agree that at this point, it's best to wait for the Skylake rMBPs redesign or no-redesign. Hopefully Intel hurries up though. That lack of Broadwell or Skylake Iris Pro CPUs is not even funny anymore. Apple relies on the Iris Pro, so us 15" Mac users are stuck on Haswell until Intel gets its ass into gear.

Yeah unfortunately even on Black Friday you'll rarely get reasonable deals for Apple products especially on the official store.

I know it'll upset some people but the more reason to switch PC. I've been thinking about it for a long time now but I think my next computer will be a Custom PC. I'm just tired of paying premiums, plus for us Canadians Apple is even more expensive than it was before.

Plus Microsoft really delivered with Windows 10, It's the best Microsoft release yet and it's super fast as well.

Yeah, it's a little ridiculous that you have to drop $2500 on a Macbook Pro to get a discrete GPU in an Apple laptop.

yeah so i kept reading everyone's comments about B&H so went there and the apple watch sport was $50 off right now. Not sure why macrumors is not reporting the deals that B&H has. Thanks everyone... saved me $50!!!

Last year they offer $50-100 iTunes gift cards for iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. I remember couple years ago they did small discounts. Now they offer nothing at all. Lately my local Apple store just seem to be a playground where people just play with Apple products but then buys them somewhere else.

You know the sales number of your local Apple Store versus 3rd party retailers?

Given the bad reputation for MacMall's customer service, would you really risk 2k+ on buying something from them hoping everything will be fine?

:) Eloquent rebuttal. You should google the word skylake. I also think there's an information page on Wikipedia in simplified English for you.

Thanks for the kind reply. Really appreciate how you're so articulate about why Skylake is worth an extra $800 when it comes out compared to getting a 2014 rMBP for $1600.

Skylake is not that big of a jump if you're making a living with it. What are you going to get, 20% performance boost? And a thinner laptop?
