While a big fan of MacRumors, I also read MacNN on a regular basis. I don't post responses all that often, but when I do they tend to be honest and balanced (i.e. I'm and Apple Fan, but never a Fanboy. When Apple releases something great, I'll say it's great. When they release crap, I say it's crap). For the first time ever I saw a couple of posts go "missing" from a discussion thread "Hands on Photos 1.0". (Which, unfortunately, my clients and family-members have already come to *hate*. I spent all day yesterday helping clients "fix" this latest Apple "update", and all evening helping family members do the same. They are now happily back and using iPhoto).

Anyway, I just wondered if this is a common occurrence at MacNN, or if it's something new after the recent restructuring? I've posted plenty of positive, and negative, responses to articles in the past, with no issues. I've seen many less-balanced and harsh responses than what I posted.

Has anyone else seen this issue with MacNN in the past? Thanks.

No... I didn't really think asking that in a feedback forum on the site I think may now be deleting negative feedback about Apple products would be the best place to ask... Seeing as they could easily just delete the thread, or any response they didn't like...

Just curious if anyone else has seen the behavior. I know they've done quite a bit of restructuring, and am just curious. Let's me know where to spend time posting and where not to. As well as giving me a reasonable idea as to how unbiased their reviews are.

I'd ask them, there may be a valid reason for the post removals.

Doesn't sound like a normal occurrence.

MacNN sometimes deletes posts in the PWL (Political/War lounge) when things get a little heated, but I have not seen "moderation" take place in most regular "technical" threads (unless your posts are considered spam).

Go and write a PM (personal message) to reader50 at 'NN, he's always very helpful.

P.S. IMO, MacRumors tends to be more "moderated" than 'NN. From my experience.
