So far wayyyyy smoother. 2.2.4 running two separate windows on dual monitors was causing my whole system to hang up and have to be manually shut off. Thanks again!

I had issues with this under 10.11. That's why I believe it has nothing to do with 10.12 but with a bug in iCloud. At a certain point my iCloud kept asking to buy more space even though I only used 1GB. There were more problems over time such as not able to create an iPhone backup to iCloud while other iCloud functions seemed not to be affected. But in my case they seemed to be related to iCloud Photo's.

After contact with Apple support, it took them a long time to figure out what the problem was. They simply gave me 50GB for free at first to have time to investigate. At some point the issue was resolved. But what exactly caused the problem was not communicated to me. However there were more users of iCloud experiencing the same or almost the same issues.

My advice is to contact apple with this issue and be patient with them. They will ask you to perform all those things that you already have done. But the support people need to follow a certain path to be able to 'escalate' you problem to a 'higher' level. What ever the meaning of this may be.....

If you also have problems with iCloud on your iPhone you can be almost sure it is related to the problems that I had.
 
I have seen a weird glitch when waking up my mac from sleep with Mac OS Sierra, in that the colors all glitch out on the top bar and on the desktop background.
 
There no "zoom text only" feature in the View tab anymore. Now when I zoom in, I dont get the full website on my screen. Why are they calling downgrades upgrades?

If you press the option key, the Zoom In/Zoom Out View menu items change to Make Text Bigger/Make Text Smaller.

I haven't yet found anyone with my exact problem so I hope this isn't a duplicate post but here goes:

The short version is I get the spinning beach ball when I attempt to upload a photo using Chrome or Safari. I sell on ebay, so I do this a lot, but it also happens when uploading a profile picture or pretty much any time I have to access Photos by default.

After a forced shut down and reboot (because Quits and Force Quits don't work), all is well for a bit, but the cute little beach ball eventually returns.

This started after my official Sierra upgrade on 9/26 or so. I didn't use the Beta version. Seems to be a problem with accessing Photos specifically rather than files in general. Had no issue uploading a screenshot (below) but Chrome is currently spinning and inconsolable after attempting to add a photo to an auction.

So far, the only "fix" I've tried is resetting the PRAM and SCM. Again, it worked for several hours with no issues, but last night and again this morning, I'm stuck.

As an Apple noob, I have no idea what else to try.
Any ideas?

UPDATE: I've installed Canary and am trying that now.

Well, public beta 5 of 10.12.1 still hasn't fixed the keyboard problem from beta 2. i and h keys transposed and a key doesn't function on external USB keyboard.

I'm just lucky my bluetooth keyboard still works fine.
 
Found a simple yet annoying bug to do with the Key Repeat rate - aka how fast letters repeat when holding down a key. No matter how slow or fast I change it to it makes no difference even after a restart.

[doublepost=1477008167][/doublepost]Further Update: After a few more "fix attempts" I have reinstalled Sierra. Seems to have done the trick. Definitely solved a few other irritations which I had not posted (i.e. asking for keychain passwords repeatedly, even after updating said keychain passwords AND asking me to set my yahoo password in settings several times a day). So far my uploading problem hasn't resurfaced. Time will tell, but so far so good.
 
Most of these issues, have already been mentioned. But from all the updates that I have lived through since Snow Leopard, this was the worst and the most painful and it still is, and I am losing my faith in Apple.

  • flickering screen,
  • sudden resets to login screen
  • 4K monitor not recognized on bootup, only hard reset works
  • BEACHBALLS due to extreme loads (unknown origin)
  • software that stops for working (for no apparent reason, they didn't disable another Rosetta-like thing, did they?),
  • slow,
  • iTunes before that was way snappier (don't get me started on the stupid hearts-system where one state (unfavoured) cannot be accessed in playlists).
  • iTunes Backups from iPhone cannot be saved "no disk space" (with 230GB available),
  • Word cannot save temporary files anymore - and crashes,
  • Bluetooth keyboard / mouse (both Apple) automatically disconnects - reconnects - disconnects, keys seem to get "stuck" after having pressed them only once, esp. in Word and Lightroom. (PRAM doesn't help.)

  • Photos is regularly crashing.
  • external NAS (TimeMachine) needs to be unlocked manually on every start
  • Cannot use the Apple Watch to unlock, as I have several iPads, including an old one which will stop working once I activate two-way authentification...
  • losing WiFi
  • Safari cannot open webpages (Firefox can - sometimes): DNS problem?
  • Lightroom crashes when converting to DNG
And the biggest bug of them all: losing my faith in Apple. I have never been this disappointed. They have crippled my MacPro (late 2013).

Copying and pasting large volume of files, around 100 or more, finder gives the status "Copying 0 files to folder..." Pasting takes a lot of time around 4-5 minutes or more. 🙁
 
I just installed the update that came out today, and my imac is stalled at the bootscreen. What's the best way or resolving this ussue without breaking stuff?
 
Now with update 10.12.1 my automatically start at login items, crash or hangs up. What a frustrating release this MacOS is.
 
Since the update to Sierra I've got some GUI glitches.
Normally when I use Spotlight for the first time after reboot, I get white pixels in the dropdown shadow. They even move with the shadow when i drag the spotlight bar to an other position. Next time I open Spotlight they are gone.

The other problem are black vertical and horizontal lines when using Time Machine. They move with the windows while scrolling through the backups. When I take a screenshot they disappear. If i take a screenshot while the windows are moving the screenshot shows a big grey box left and bottom.

Has anyone noticed issues with their external USB drives not accessible after a certain period of time? I have a rMBP 2012 15" with 2 USB 3 connected drives and after a bit of time being connected, I can no longer access files or write to them. I get an "error code -50". Anyone? = /

Edit: Has anyone noticed a white glow around the main macOS login screen as well? Never seen that before... odd.

People don't seem to know a hidden website exists to log bugs fully - bugreport.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
 
I have Sierra installed, and ran the update yesterday
I just looked at About this Mac and found this
