I am sorry for all of those who have problems.
Mine is performing flawlessly. I was irritated by brief black screen at startup/losing, but that is gone since 10.14.1. Oh, and I am on mid 2012 non retina MBP.
I have kept my 2015 I5 2.5 GHz, 16 Gb Ram, 500 Gb Samsung SSD Macbook Pro in top condition since I got it, but Mojave only corrupts my passwords with no recovery. High Sierra starts up dog slow (I can brew a cup of tea & start drinking it waiting for it), but I never had this problem with any Mac since 2000. Even my 450 Mhz PPC boots in < 1 min on OSX 10.4.9. Mojave is not for prime-time, in my view. I wonder if password length is an issue - I have accounts with none, 7 character, and 9 character. I could try inputting (through the terminal) an 18 character password, if that works better.
