I have upgraded my MBP mid 2012 to macOS 11.6.1 with the help of the opencore legacy patcher. Do I need this patcher to update to macOS 11.6.2 ??
My software update says macOS Big Sur 11.6.2 is available. Can I just update or do I need the OCLP ?

Using OCLP you should be able to install 11.6.2 through software update in system preferences. After it installs, pop open the OCLP app and reinstall any system patches and you’ll be good to go. I have several machines running Big Sur via OCLP.
