macOS 13: Working and broken apps

Thanks to everyone who contributes to this list. I wanted to have a play, and it looked like everything I needed to work has already been tested. So far, no problems at all with PB7 on my MBP M1, although I don't think I've found any real reasons to upgrade yet either!

Haven’t been able to get IDrive cloud backup client to work under last few betas.
Authorisation fails. Daemon is unable to connect to servers.
Safari can’t seem to handle web interface. (doesn’t get past progress indicator to display backups, doesn’t log out showing error each time.) Chrome works fine so issue is with the new
safari.

you should reach out to them; i use idrive on both my macs (one silicon, one intel) and have had no disruptions in backup over the entire beta period...

I have. The app issue was me, it informed me the password was wrong so I changed it and it kept pasting the old one.
The safari issue is still there though. Their tech support is good but slow.

Clearly a function call hitting an older version of a remote function expecting different parameters. Maybe download and reinstall the iDrive software from your local Ventura beta? Just my $.02

It's a release candidate, a.k.a. an RC. Unless they issue a 2nd RC the full release will be in a week or so.

Hopefully TurboTax 2022 is optimized for AS and Ventura.

I understand the current Technology Preview works fine with a Ventura host (Intel and AS), but have not it tried myself. https://communities.vmware.com/t5/Fusion-Tech-Preview-22H2/ct-p/3022 and read the discussions. So version 13 for supported on AS. Perhaps someone else can say if latest V12 runs (though not supported) on Intel Ventura host.

^^^Yes - It works just fine. I had a Microtek i800 that finally bit the dust. Replaced it with an Epson V600. Both recognized by VueScan.

A very important message for DJs who are thinking about upgrading to Ventura. I'm very late of writing this because I forgot to report this back in Beta 4 but Serato DJ Pro worked after a very long load time. Not sure about core functions but I was able to set cue points. Pioneer DJ's Rekordbox opened but did not see USB or SD cards. Can anyone see if these programs work in the latest RC? Does rekordbox recognize external SD cards/USB sticks. Typically these DJ app developers take about a month or 2 to announce compatibility. I'm having a severe issue with my iTunes (Apple Music Player) where it takes 3-5 seconds to play each song. Clicking next long takes a lifetime. This happened at some point when I went back to Monterrey because Ventura didn't work out for me due to the mission critical DJ programs not working.
