Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 14 Sonoma will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.

BootROM not updated, iBridge was updated from 21.16.1045.5.3,0 to 21.16.1056.5.4,0 on Intel

any news on the bluetooth devices randomly disconnecting and reconnecting? I have report this to Apple way Sonoma was released.

Beta 1 broke unlock with Apple Watch feature. Beta 2 restored this functionality.

So far I've been unable to use the promised MFi hearing aid connection: Sonoma sees the aid, but keeps cycling rapidly through connection and disconnection with my aid. Most frustrating.

This update also broke Rogue Amoeba's Loopback (v2.3.1fc2). The app opens with no UI and no way to turn on the virtual devices.

I did that. But I made a mistake. It was beta 1. Now beta 2 on an external ssd solved it. And I also have the startup sound now on my internal drive with Ventura.

you checked/unchecked/rechecked it? and is the sound volume up on your mac? and which mac is having the problem? (if it's the macbook pro, you could try resetting the NVRAM...)
It's a M1 Studio, resetting the NVRAM is impossible. Soundvolume was maximum. Startup sound was always selected. Tried safeboot and reinstall MacOS from the recovery mode and it didn't help. Updating to Sonoma beta 2 solved the problem. For both Ventura (internal ssd) and Sonoma (external ssd).

All 3 of my bluetooth devices keep disconnecting. (mouse, Trackpad, and Keyboard) Was in full screen twice and couldn't get out. Plugged in the KB and trackpad and still didn't work for a few seconds but then suddenly connected.

I hate macOS 14 update so much.

There is a bug in the file system (Finder) that some files (mainly PDFs) that are saved are hidden when are saved on the main partition (desktop and similar). The only situation to overcome this I need to use the CMD + SHIFT + . (dot) to show all hidden files in the directory or re-save the PDF file and then it's not hidden anymore. Seems to be some sort of a permission bug.

Many threads were opened on this here, on Apple support communities, and Reddit as well. It happens when downloaded from any browser so it's not Chrome specific. I think some also reported saving files from adobe products.

The only fix for now is to disable iCloud sync in Settings, and it's annoying.

Only MFi hearing devices that has Bidirectional streaming is supported by Sonoma. You can view the list (ones with asterisks) here.

They are M2 Mac’s and newer for some reason.

Yes, I have a new macbook air (2023), but my aid is a Cochlear BAHA 5 which is an MFi aid and works with my iphone, but doesn't have the "bidirectional" asterisk on that list. It's just puzzling to me that the technology can work on the iphone, but not on a Mac? I can only hope that Apple's MacOS developers find a way to expand MFI coverage.
