Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"

Music.app seems to have jumped to 1.40 and there are a few changes inside the app (nothing too major).
Does anyone know what version number was Music.app on Beta 2?

Wallpaper disappearing bug seems to be fixed? Hasn't happened for me yet and I've changed it a few times to see if it triggers.

Also, now windows restoring from the dock animate properly every time. No more invisible animation.

OS loading progress bar has been (permanently?) moved down to like one Apple logo's height from the bottom of the screen, similar to its height during old firmware updates on G4/G5 class desktops..

Beta 3 install in progress warns that the screen will turn off for a minute

Speedometer 2.0 improved slightly, ten run average on an Intel 2018 laptop is now 166.

System firmware on Intel for this 2018 rMBP has updated from 2007.0.0.0.0 to 2015.0.0.0.0

iBridge has updated from 21.16.307.5.6,0 to 21.16.318.5.4,0

OS Loader has updated from 580-124 to 580-195

"macOS 14 Sonoma adds a new way to show the desktop. You can view your home screen by clicking on the wallpaper."

I have found this feature buggy still in Beta 3. Click on wallpaper and desktop is shown but then it doesn't always go back (by clicking or double clicking) and I have even had it freeze the menu bar (couldn't get anything to work in menu bar by clicking on it). Got it back by switching to a different desktop and switching back.

Problem is from a bug standpoint it doesn't always happen. Will continue to monitor.

I think this is the worst “feature”. Why fundamentally change the way the desktop and windows have worked on macOS since forever? Also, it was really hard to find the button to disable this. Anyways, I submitted feedback lol

Where is the button to disable this?

I'm assuming this is referring to clicking the desktop/wallpaper and everything zooming out, like one of the trackpad gestures? I'm finding this super annoying, and definitely thought it was a bug until I read this thread.

Never mind, found it:

For everyone who had issues with Tailscale in beta 2, it looks like it's now fixed - the app is working as expected and doesn't crash on load anymore.

When I lock my screen and having the moving image background the screen will go black after about 30 seconds. Is this a bug or expected behaviour? This is on both battery and adapter power.

In beta 2 I had issue with the default browser in the settings and they fixed it in beta 3.
I've attached files from beta 2.

New updates landed today, I may have been hasty. I can't get SMS to sync correctly across my devices, the most important two would be my iPhone and Mac

I downgraded my Mac as a first step, and since then the third dev betas have arrived.. so now I'm holding off on downgrading everything - it's a lot of work (I never restore from backups, my habit has been to wipe completely clean every year and start over..)

Did the Sonoma beta solve this glitch? It's the laptop that has been the problem (but still not sure where the bug comes from.. online processes, or iOS beta or Mac beta)

This also happened to me in beta 2. But if you wait and don't touch your computer until the screen automatically locks, it should stay open according to your settings.
