Does anyone else notice the pointer acceleration that has changed since 26.5? I feel like the acceleration curve was way more linear in 26.4 and earlier. Now it's way too extreme, often causing me to overshoot, or undershoot, when moving the pointer too slowly.

Yes, I thought my mouse was broken, changed to another (older) Magic Mouse and still the same problem. Jerky unstable movement and hard to be precise. Also left click sometimes does not work correctly, perhaps it register as a left click... the behavior has changed nevertheless.

Perhaps I should have specified that I'm talking about the behavior my built in trackpad of my Macbook Pro (in my case a M4 16-inch). When I use my external trackpad on my external screen the behavior is the same as always, which leads me to believe they simply ported the acceleration curve for larger screens and iMacs and over to the internal trackpads. That would explain the fact most people don't notice a difference.

I use a 13" M4 Air at work and a 14" M5 Pro at home (both on 26.5). The internal trackpad behaviour hasn't changed at all.

I don't notice any accelleration at all on my built in trackpad on an M1 MBP. The cursor just moves as fast, or as slowly, as I set the tracking speed in the preferences. It doesn't start slowly and then becomes faster.
