Didn't they comment on this saying that its safe and we should not worry about it?

That being said, its still a good thing they backtracked unlike Amazon, Google, and Facebook that would probably say it was a bug then go ahead and hide it somewhere else until enough PR fuss rises again.
 
This is scary that a company would intentionally bypass user installed security measures. Sounds like a way for Apple to keep eyes on you. I thought they were all about privacy? Tim Cook should be ashamed.
 
Very happy to hear this. When I first learnt about Apple software being able to bypass VPNs, etc., I felt it was the beginning of the end (i.e. Apple becoming another scummy tech company.) Glad to hear this was just a temporary thing as they ironed out some bugs.

Im not so sure a company being part of Prism means a company is about Privacy to be honest
