Resolved macOS Catalina not upgrading to Monterey

I'm trying to update my MacBook Air 2020 to macOS Monterey, but it doesn't install. It says it has downloaded 100% of it, but it sits there doing nothing. Is there something I am missing?

Not sure if this will help, but...
Check the applications folder. Is the OS installer "in there"?
If so, will it run?

Thank you for the advice. I managed to fix it somehow by restarting and starting the upgrade again from scratch. I'm now happily running the newest version of macOS.
