macOS goes into Lock Screen then brightness reset

My iMac when it goes into the Lock Screen then when I log back in the brightness is back at default settings. It kinda look like my Mac restarts itself but is not actually restarting because I don't see the apple logo. This started happening when I upgraded Big Sur 11.5 and it continues now on 11.5.1

Does anyone have an idea as to what is going on and how I can fix it?
