Anyone experiencing issues with Safari not loading websites randomly or taking a very long time to load websites? Ever since updating to 12.4, Safari has been extremely unreliable in loading websites. Some will not load and I have to try a few times, others take a long time to load or render.

When I try the websites in Google Chrome, they load instantly.
Nope for me its been fine. Safari actually got faster and I tested it using Speedometer.

Can you try this web test?

Do it in Safari and Chrome but not at the same time.

I'm surprised how well everything works. I heard so much about how horrible Big Sur was (after hearing about how bad Catalina was), and Monterey is good.

I've got a recent, refurbished machine, but my last machine was a mid-2012 15.4 inch with a quad-core i7. I brought a fair amount of software that isn't going to be updated.

Considering that my Windows machine got some bad updates and Windows ate itself, Apple has been doing macOS pretty well, even at their worst.

Safari is quite faster and not using 5-6GB of memory for me anymore. Is anyone experiencing this as well? I also noticed my overall memory pressure is no longer going to above 60%.

Seems like the best Monterey update thus far, haven't checked how it work with the external display arrangement since I have been travelling for the next month.

Can anyone check if it remembers the display positions?

It does remember display positions in my case (two external displays), but spotlight not offering Terminal - could you please check that for me ?

I'm having the same problem. At first I thought it was my ISP having some weird routing issues but trying them in Firefox had them loading instantly.

Yesterday it was old.reddit.com that wouldn't load at all in Safari (working fine now), today it's a Usenet Indexer.

No idea what's causing it.

Yes, this seems to be a real bug:

Apple should spend a year or two fixing all the damn bugs rather than popping out a new OS every year.
Anecdotal evidence gained from this website alone confirms a huge majority of us think that way. But it seems Craig and his team have dug a trench so big they can't climb out of with this cyclical release of new OS's every year. For a while they followed a biennial cycle where the second year was all about refinement: Leopard begat Snow Leopard, Sierra begat High Sierra. Now it's all about new OS's every October which add buggy new features, then issuing a plethora of dot releases over the next 11 months to try to make the thing work the way it should have done on version x.0.

Yes, same problem. I've done loads of tests and seems to be Safari. I filed a report with Apple.

So macOS gets updates like iOS?

Do you have private relay turned on? It would only affect Safari and not other browsers.

It shows up for me, I know what you mean I open my Terminal via spotlight multiple times a day to work lol

Is anyone other than me have issues with Photos? Mine has been curating since the first beta of Monterey and ) people scanned. Tried reload on OS, Tried repair of library. Everything else is working great. Love the Apple Relay!

Any having issues with the Load Remote Content button missing in Mail (after 12.4 Update)? Mac Pro 2019, Intel.
Yes, I did check the privacy settings in Mail's Preferences.

Today, my MacBook Pro 14" had intermittent issues charging. A reboot solved this. Earlier this week I had to reboot as my MacBook couldn't get an IP address from the DNS server. I was connected wirelessly. Anyone recognize either issue?

I had a wireless issue. I use WiFi Explorer by Intuitibits. I started up today to check something and it couldn't see any wireless networks. A reboot fixed it.

Yes, me. (Some) images load, some don't. The button to load remote content is missing on mail since the 12.4 update. I tried all kinds of combinations on the privacy settings, but to no avail.

The two bugs that annoyed me in Monterey seem to have been fixed with 12.4. A network problem where I couldn't load some webpages. I was able to load others though. Firefox is my primary browser but I saw the problem in Safari, Edge, Chrome. Rebooting resolved the issue and I typically had to reboot once a week. I also have the problem on Big Sur starting sometime late 2021. I suspect that the bug was backported to Big Sur. My 2021 MacBook Pro has run 9 days without seeing the problem so it looks like it has been fixed. The other issue I had was leaking memory but that appears to have been fixed as well as my RAM usage is stable instead of slowly rising.

Yes, I'm having the same issue. Any fixes? I've tried restarting, and clearing Safari cache, but no luck.
