macOS Monterey Working/Not Working Apps

Not sure who posted it, but it certainly does work. I've used every beta of Monterey so far and Alfred has worked on all of them

And Monterey-only Alfred workflows that call Shortcuts have been appearing.
 
Hi everybody : has anyone tested Texshop ? I had and Texshop is launched but it is impossible to open/write a file.
 
Cannot find an answer here - I have Parallels 16.5 not working on PB2 - it says prl_client_app quit unexpectendly. Is there a workaround?
 
CyberGhost doesn't work for me either and neither does Protonmail VPN

Also having issues with bluetooth, it doesn't turn on no matter what I do. It just seems to just, not exist

which mac? you could try resetting the nvram, and the smc (re the bluetooth issue)...

Thanks, KibJ. I finally got it working. I had to do a re-install. So, my apologies for assuming it does not work and I thank you for pushing me to try it again.

Update on MS Teams: works fine with iCloud Private Relay turned off. Hard to know if it's a Beta 4 or a Teams App issues but turning off Relay certainly improves performance.

Interesting - I got mine working by disabling GPU acceleration, but your way seems to work too and I can put GPU acceleration back on so thanks! Will see how it goes tomorrow!

I still had intermittent issues after turning iCloud Private Relay off. I've disabled GPU acceleration again and Teams has been solid since then.

Same as @skaro: I have had consistent success using Teams without issues after turning off GPU acceleration at the start of my work day yesterday.
 
Logi Option now seems to work perfectly in the latest macOS open beta! This surprises me because I assumed it was Logitech needed to update their app for Monterey, but I don't think they did, it works though!

Updated to 16.5.1 and now there is no prl Client error - virtual machine resumed but was unresponsive. Forced it to stop, rebooted but the screen of virtual machine is Black with 100% CPU usage (2 cores) and nothing happens

Noticed this too 🙂 Same for Logi Options+, interestingly neither worked properly for me in Big Sur, they detected both KB/Mouse as plugged in rather than being connected to bluetooth, but now works perfectly in beta 4

Do you have dedicated graphics or anything? I don't seem to have any issues with Teams :/

Is there anything interesting in the Development menu/under chrome://GPU? (Click Teams in the dock multiple times and it will appear in the menu bar)

No dedicated graphics - its just a standard M1 MacBook Pro. Nice tip with the Development menu...although looking at the GPU page I'm not sure what I'm looking at :D I'll re-enable GPU acceleration later and see what it shows on that page. Thanks!

I'm intel, so I wonder if the common theme is M1??

That page may show error logs at least.
 
Anyone else having problems with Mail? Can send mail just fine, but the incoming ports seems to be blocked?

Roaring Apps just updated their site to accept Monterey compatibility reports. It is a great resource if there are enough people reporting there.

Mail has not worked properly since Beta 3. There is an entire thread dedicated to the issue on this site.

Many people are using other email clients like AIRMAIL or SPARK until Apple hopefully fixes this problem in PB 5.

Hi, I am running macOS 12/Monterey, and I am unable to get SheepShaver to download. I have tried multiple different versions, none of them will download. Any thoughts or ideas? I would love to be able to emulate macOS 9.2 on my MBA M1. Thank you!

Some people have had problems with Apple Mail - hopefully they have all reported to Apple. It works for for me and, I believe, many others.

The newest "classic" MacOS that Sheepshaver runs is 9.0.4.

I'm using the standard build from kanjitalk755 over at E-Maculation. (Actually I'm running the May release, and haven't upgraded to the August one, yet.)

You also need to follow the set-up instructions to the letter, as Sheepshaver can be a bit picky if not.
