Hi

is vmware horizon working correctly for you on the new MacBook Pro 14 ? On my side it won't scale to full screen and it give me huge bezels (like old MacBook).
Is the a way to have it working correctly ?

Thanks for your help

I took a chance and installed Monterey on my MacBook.

I had already had Citrix Workspace 2109 installed in Big Sur, and fortunately, in Monterey it continues to work fine. Yay!

Nice to hear! Being locked out of the work environment is a major hassle :) And as some other user here mentioned, Citrix Workspace seems more stable now than on BigSur.

Right now I have the best digital workspace I've ever had, a very small portable laptop, a huge screen and complete silence. I work mostly with my brain and the absence of a computer fan is one of the biggest gains for me. That and being able to work remotely.

Onyx does not work - still waiting on a new release for Monterey, which should be coming soon.
Otherwise all my applications seem to be fine so far.......

Oh, SoftRAID 6.2 also working perfect ;)

I've set up Monterey on a partition as I think it's about time I moved off Mojave. Microsoft Office is fine. What isn't fine is printing - I've lost two out of three HP printers on our network, older ones including a trusty Laserjet. Only a new inkjet is recognised. I see HP Smart was updated on 14 October but it seems it's not right for Monterey. Hopefully HP will put this right. But any tips on getting older printers to work - this project seems to have stopped:

I have the same problem but I found a workaround : printing pdf's with Preview and not Acrobat resolved the problem......

Since updating to macOS 12.0.1, and specifically build 21A559, my Apple Watch is no longer able to communicate with my MBP, getting a message that my Apple Watch needs to be signed into iCloud, when it is already. This is on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) along with a S6 Apple Watch on watchOS 8.1 (19R570).

FB9725429 if anyone else is having this issue...

I have had no problems whatsoever with Graphic Converter crashing. It seems to work fine with Monterey.

However Paragon extFS have not yet been updated for Monterey.

While not updated for Monterey, it seems to be working over here . . . (the program is running and doesn't crash so far, though haven't got an extfs drive a.t.m. to verify it actually does what it needs to do)

I just learned that although 1Password 6 (last downloadable version) has been working flawlessly for me in Big Sur, it doesn't look like it's going to work in Monterey. Maybe the new Passwords System Pref can take its place?

I have 1Password 6.8.9 installed and it works fine. Autofill, TouchId, no problems at all.

Would be eternally grateful if someone could help check Monterey compatibility for some/all of these apps!
  • OwlOCR
  • Adobe Premiere Pro 2020/2021
  • Hidden Bar
  • Duplicate File Finder
  • Rocket
  • OmniDiskSweeper
  • freac
  • Storyboarder
  • AppCleaner - Working
  • CoconutBattery - Working
I'm running a 2015 13" MBP, so a compatibility check on Intel would be particularly wonderful!

Coconut Battery & AppCleaner are both working fine on my end.

HP Smart crashes immediately every time I open it. I deleted it and reinstalled it and it still crashes. HP Utility and Easy Scan both work fine.

OpenShot video editor not working with Monterey. Tried on three different machines and it will not open. ANY ideas please ?

Yes I was but it seems a lot better today. Somehow I ended up with 3,275 emails in the trash can yesterday and when I deleted all of those it seemed to fix it. Prior to that emails were loading slowly and every time I'd delete one or a group they'd come right back in just a few seconds. All seems to be working fine today though.

I have not been able to get Fidelity Active Trader Pro running properly on my 2021 MacBook Pro. It installs, starts up, asks for my credentials, displays the index window and then hangs. I worked with the Fidelity support folks on Reddit and they told me to call CS. I called CS and we opened up a tech support case and sent in my log file.

Fidelity says that Monterey is supported and someone with an M1 Mac said that it worked. But nobody verified that it works with an M1 PRO or M1 MAX. Their tech support is very busy so I'll check back in a week. In the meantime, I'll run it on my Windows desktop.

My personal experience of 1Password 6.8.9 is that it does work as in Big Sur.

So, integration with Safari and Brave is broken (haven't yet installed Firefox to test, but its working 1password add-on did allow integration within the browser on Big Sur).

Other points.

(1) I installed Monterey on an external SSD to test. It is still not on my main volume and I won't update that until I have more fully tested from the external drive.
(2) I sync using iCloud and Monterey found my vault straight away. I was able to use both the main app and 1password mini from the menu bar. I haven't tested other methods of syncing as these don't apply to my use case.

Note also this thread in 1password community which also suggests there is functionality even if not all the bells and whistles https://1password.community/discussion/comment/617624
