Okay, yeah, I wanna know how old Biden was when he supposedly passed away.

Does the Mac version of Mail get the AI features mentioned for iOS? I didn't see anything in my quick glance.

[EDIT] I see "Summarize Message Previews" in Mail settings, so it looks like that's in there, at least

Been on preparing for over 2 hours.
I have it installed on windows parallels I wonder if that’s the issue

On the Apple Intelligence waitlist. Got it within 10 minutes of installing iOS & iPadOS 18.1 betas but not macOS. Maybe it's based on device more in macOS since it's only a few devices on the phone & tablet side.

Well still stuck at preparing on parallels and I did 2 new installs one on the macbool ssd and another one on a ext ssd

Sounds like this wont work
I am not installing this on the main system oh well

After activating Apple Intelligence, I encountered problems activating Siri. Training Siri to recognize both "Siri" and "Hey Siri", I got messages that Siri "didn't quite get that". The workaround for me was to train Siri to recognize just "Hey Siri" (which worked), and then switch it to both "Siri" and "Hey Siri".

I saw the article posted about iOS, but has anyone done a comprehensive list of what AI features are in Sequoia 15.1?

I see messages has the full reply suggestions.

I rebooted my M1 Macbook Pro. New Siri icon on the top screen bar. Old Siri icon on the touchpad. Siri's not working for me. Should I reboot...again?

Working features I found so far:

1. New Siri interface + ability to type to get answers.
2. Writing tools on Notes and Safari.
3. Summary of the article that can be accessed from the reader on Safari.

I’m in China. Can anyone tell me if the AI works if I have an us Apple ID and change the region? Thx in advance

I live in the EU. iOS doesn't offer AI but on my MacBook Air M3 I was able to enable AI after setting to US English and changing my region to US. I assume this loop hole will be removed in the future. I'll enjoy it while I can.

Just a little tidbit I found out. If you get waitlisted on macOS, restart your Mac. You should then see it change to preparing and within 10 minutes it will be available. Seems to be a waitlist bug and is only fixed via restart.

Did you have to login to a US app store account?

Hi All, I am in South Africa and I therefore do not have the Apple Intelligence capability as yet but what I have found is that the M3 14" MacBook Pro now has 2 screen capability in clamshell mode - great. I'll have to wait for the Apple Intelligence I guess.

After adding Apple Intelligence to my iPad (joining waitlist and having it approved in 10 minutes), and adding to another iPad and iPhone where I didn't even have to join the waitlist, I added to my Mac and it still says "Joined Waitlist". No "preparing" or "downloading" nothing. After 25 hours it still says "Joined Waitlist". Anyone else still stuck on that? I tried rebooting. No help. I'm in the US physically, and my Apple ID is Us-Based. Even apple said you only have to join the waitlist for one of your devices and the rest are automatically approved. This didn't happen (yes they are all on the same Apple ID account)

could someone with it working do me a massive favour and try asking Siri to “show me documents from January 2021” (or similar) and see whether it works. And then “show me the file I just saved”

Those are the features I’m most anticipating. The former used to work with Siri, the latter I’m hoping might be coming.

Can Siri, for instance, create a new folder on the desktop?

Returns a „Finder hasn’t added support for that with Siri”…

I came here specifically to ask about Parallels on beta 15.1. So you can't get it to work? That was my worry as I have use parallels on a daily bases, so I can't lose support for that. I may be waiting awhile before even upgrading to the full release until Parallels gets support.

I have no issues using the current release of Parallels on beta 15.1 on a MacBook Air M3.
