Untested Issues
Additional Notes

  • Please know, Memory Management has always been an issue on any OS (not just Apple's). If you believe there is a Memory Leak, please go to the Apple Menu > Restart > Restart to fix it.
  • When a new macOS release comes out, all issues automatically go to "Untested Issues" until they are moved by someone. Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 15 Sequoia will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.
  • macOS 15 is officially supported on the following devices. If your device is not listed below, it has unfortunately been dropped by Apple. Any efforts of trying to get your Mac running macOS 15, including bugs should be discussed in this thread.

First 15.1 release for Intel Macs. Man was that a brutal install - I didn't count, but it was something around 5-6 restarts (2018 MBP) and a total of nearly 1 hour. This was an upgrade install from 15.0. Running just fine now that it's installed.

iMac 5K 2019 (NO T2), update went fine coming from 15.0 release, about 30 minutes total.
On a quick check, firmware versions look the same as 15.0 release.

Can't get past this on my M1 Pro, MacBook Pro 14-inch. Trying to update from 15.1 BETA3. Tried rebooting, no dice.

Weird issue with my M1 Max connected to Apple 5k with the lid shut. I have to plug my apple wireless keyboard in before the keys will work on reboot. Shows its connected with Bluetooth but still have to connect before any keys work. Also seems to not be prompting me for Touch ID on the wireless keyboard anymore.

Did you check if they are still in Keychain access?
I didn't find it until now. It seems to exist but can't be found in apps. I wonder where it is hidden.
But thanks a lot; I got all my secure notes in there. When I look for it in the Finder it is hidden in System\Library\Coreservices\Applications. Grateful to you. I will try to store it in a more visible place.

Not sure who has seen this one, still stuck on it (differs from the error in posts above)

There is a thread on Apple Developers Forum with little information yet either: https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/763854

Tried all the usual, making sure right developer beta update is chosen (switched from "macOS Sequoia Developer Beta" to the "macOS Sequoia 15.1 Developer Beta", ensuring internet access, rebooting.

Cheers.

Had to use my Mac mini to "Revive" my MacBook Pro using the 15.1 BETA4 IPSW. Then I did the same the other way around afterwards. Now both are running 15.1 BETA4. Using revive, not restore, all data is kept during the process.

fine here so far, and may have fixed the 'external monitor turns on after macbook air sleeps' issue (we'll see). all else working as expected...

EDIT: so far, my external monitor has not turned on after i put my MBA to sleep. progress!

I only have one development machine, this makes it a little hard to use this method :)

Tried via the command line too:

% sudo softwareupdate -iaR

Sequoia 15.1 installed ok and work ok-ish but sluggish.
Since a random reboot the main display won't turn on.

I am able to connect to external display but with lid closed.

Can't store the app in the app-folder (results in a crash), but it is possible to permanently attach it to the dock. I rather would like Apple to reinstate it in the app library
In the /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications folder, right-click the Keychain.app and create an alias. It will create an alias and should save it onto your Desktop. Move the alias into your /Applications folder or wherever you like if you don't want it in your Dock.

Note, it still won't show in Launchpad if you use that.
