  • When you have "Low Power Mode" in the Menu Bar and click on it, it now shows a big dot in your accent color when it's activated.
Resolved Issues

New Issues

(If you are encountering any issues, please press "Edit" on the bottom of this post and add it here)

  • Time Machine causes kernel panics - if you experience this issue either unplug the drive or set TM to run manually. NOTE - seems to be a beta 2 issue

Remaining Issues
  • Alarms may not play when your display is asleep for a long period of time (FB10086690)
    • Workaround: Make your display not fall asleep in Settings > Lock Screen > Turn display off on ____ when inactive. You can turn your brightness off.
    • Issue present since macOS 13.0
  • General Bluetooth reliability issues (mouse and keyboard lag, audio lag, audio distortion) with 3rd party and Apple accessories per reports on Reddit and elsewhere.

Untested Issues

Additional Notes

  • Please know, Memory Management has always been an issue on any OS (not just Apple's). If you believe there is a Memory Leak, please go to the Apple Menu > Restart > Restart to fix it.
  • When a new macOS release comes out, all issues automatically go to "Untested Issues" until they are moved by someone. Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 15 Sequoia will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.
  • macOS 15 is officially supported on the following devices. If your device is not listed below, it has unfortunately been dropped by Apple. Any efforts of trying to get your Mac running macOS 15, including bugs should be discussed in this thread.
    • MacBook Air: Intel 2020, M1, M2, M3

Beta 2 seems to have broken my NCP VPN, can't click connect, weirdly. The option is greyed out. First time on a beta that it has broken.

Also a lot of apps are giving me an error: XX is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash. I can force open them from the Settings > Security tab, but not ideal!

Strange, first time I've encountered big issues like this in years.

I had to switch off the 15.2 beta to macOS Sequoia Developer for it to show
I had the same issue. Kept saying my Beta ID didn't have access. Switched to "macOS Sequoia Developer" and now it works fine.

I think the other branch was just for the first beta as it seems it was limited to Silicon Macs, now they return to the main branch as Intel Macs are compatible with beta.

Just received my new Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad. Sadly found out that neither of them work as expected with 15.2 beta 1. Currently updating to beta 2 now. Hoping that my brand new shiny devices will work as they should...

Update: it does seem to have fixed the issues with the new keyboard and trackpad

Weather widget can now be added in the menu bar!

I always forget this is a Wiki post where you can add new features or bugs etc. yourself and if I even should add it if it had been mentioned in a already in a news article I read before.

I just put it there together with the redesigned Low Power Mode in Menu Bar. I don't think many people use that. I think it was just a flash before maybe in a circle, that went from greyed out to something else and is now a big dot in your "Accent Color" what can be set somewhere i System Settings. I think the iMacs have normally more of them to choose from as standard if you don't use some kind of tweak.

I think that brown color dot is new because of the new iMacs. The strange thing is it is called "'This Mac" but mine is orange but looks more like rose at the front. Also everything metal like the stand keyboard and mouse lets me think more of a darker rose gold than orange. But the back is a bright orange.
The good thing is I picked pink or violet anyway if orange and grey weren't the only colors with 24GB, 1TB and the correct keyboard type with Numpad and TouchID, that only had a few days delivery at that reseller. From Apple it always takes weeks to months if you upgrade.

It finally fixed AppStore and TestFlight for me. I couldn't update or install anything since the first beta. I found a trick to get around the AppStore for updating and to install TestFlight but not to update TestFlight apps that weren't even launch-able anymore because the beta was outdated.

The new TestFlight version still likes playing beach ball very much and sometimes doesn't update apps and is forgetting more and more to update apps in the background.

I woke up with a black screen today and had to power off the Mac and login again.

When I got back from the kitchen the screen was black again with just a movable mouse curser. But I yesterday disabled "PowerNap" while sleeping with a 3rd party app shortly before the update. So I can't say if that might caused it.

The only thing that could happened in that time when I was away today, had been starting the Screen Saver after 10 Minutes and "Turn display off when inactive" that is set to 20 Minutes. Not sure if I was away that long. Could be, because I did a few other things. But it didn't lock out, this is set to one hour.

I had to turn off the Mac by holding the power button again.

Edit: I should start writing when I am really awake. I hope no one recognized the almost 100 edits, because there are so few people here. What is sad by the way. :( I always loved Macs more than anything from Apple and I like to use the other devices even much less in the meantime.
