At first my Mac didn't find the update then I saw a small text there, saying my Apple ID is not configured to receive beta updates or something similar. I had to change it from 15.2 updates to just Developer Updates, because it's the only beta now. Was it the same for you?

It was the second time that this happened for me. Because in both cases I was just going to bed and just updated before really looking in the forums. I only saw some headlines on MacRumors that indicated there has to be an update.

Just received my new Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad. Sadly found out that neither of them work as expected with 15.2 beta 1. Currently updating to beta 2 now. Hoping that my brand new shiny devices will work as they should...
Sorry to hack the thread but I missed the announcement for sure. What's new on these twos devices? Why do the new devices doesn't work because it's simply bluetooth?

happened to me this morning too (first time ever). a reboot fixed it...

Is it still there? Did you try to kill the process in Acitivity Monitor?

What happens when you try to go into those settings?

No, I did not try killing the process. The prompt disappears if I TouchID or type the password, but reappears when I restart the Mac. Happens on my studio and air.

Same here- it keeps happening on my 15" M3 MBA every time I boot or restart, it's been driving me crazy trying to find some sort of solution online all afternoon...

I tried yesterday, too. Did not succeed. Submitted a report to Apple with the Feedback app.

Well, I do have another issue. Clicking on a link in Gmail in the new Safari (V18.2) is now very sluggish. And, sometimes (because of the long wait time), I need to cancel the operation and click on the link a second time.

My MBP M1Pro doesn't wake up from screen saver. When I perform any action (button pressed / trackpad movement etc.) the screen saver goes off but display stays black.
Closing and opening the lid always solves the problem. Feedback reported under FB15699209.

Touch ID does not seem to be attempting to read a fingerprint and the power button seems to be intermittent in sending the laptop to the lock screen. Macbook Pro M2 Pro. Feedback report FB15699557

Are you having any issue's with TouchID?

I have also problem with touchID and the password-app does not open
Yeah - It would not unlock and would not allow me to use touchID for passwords on sites, I've 'Un-enrolled' my fingerprint and tried to 'Re-enroll' and it doesn't even detect it no matter how I try

I can't edit or create any shortcuts without the app crashing instantly. Anyone else?

Similar behavior on M2 Mac Mini. Only happens when screen saver/lock kicks in at timeout. Can't get back in to computer and screen is black. Doesn't happen when lock screen is manually engaged via control-command-Q. Only workaround is to hard restart. Submitted as Feedback FB15702491.

anecdotally, the beta 1 Time Machine kernel panics seem to have been solved on my end, so I'm pleased about that

I had/have the same problem but found out that a key I configured to send the screen to sleep will wake it again after pressing it twice or so when the screen stays black after going to sleep automatically.

The option is in this app and you have to set a key to wake when you first activate display sleep:

When you copy a App to the Applications folder with a normal user,, how long do you wait for authorization? i must wait 5 min. The Appstore does not open here and different installations waiting for authorization in the log ...

I am having the same problem. Ben looking on internet for FIX but haven't found one
MacOS Sequoia Developer Beta 15.2 Beta 2 (24C5073e)
Ny feedback form status on this issue has been updated. It now says:

Resolution: Potential fix identified - For a future OS update

That's something I guess 🤷‍♂️

You need a keyboard shortcut for activating/deactivating display sleep and press it two or three times. Then you don't have to restart. I don't know how to set it normally. But there was an option in the app I posted. I already had it installed and found out by coincidence.

There is also a good app called Almighty, that should do it too with this "Black out" option. I haven't set it up yet.
I think it's even better:

A similar and free app to OneSwitch is OnlySwitch, but it seems that option is missing there:
