Once it's installed, you can open Mail.app, and see if it brings the same categories that were added to iOS. There were some screenshots from Apple that indicated this feature was also coming to MacOS, but it hasn't been activated as of 15.2 DB3.

I saw this today for the first time on top of the mail list. But I mostly had Intelligence turned off, so maybe nothing new:

And I don't know what that is and where it is coming from... 🤔

In the Music app, seems that some operations are still blocking the main thread (causing the app to get unresponsive).

I don't have much in there and also not Apple Music. My music collection seems to work normal.

Not a widespread issue, I'm sure, but I use this to record streaming audio.

This is not new in Sequoia, but I can't believe Apple has never addressed that Mail message windows open wherever they feel like anywhere on the screen.

do you mean, opening a new mail window to create a message? mine always open in the same spot (then work their way to the right if i open multiple windows). worked that way for as long as i can remember...

When I am reading a mail in an extra window the next one will open at the same place the last one had been closed.

And when I create a new mail the next new one opens there where that window had been last when sent or closed.

Also if I closed the Mail app completely in the meantime. Don't know how it is after a reboot.

Really annoying is the Finder. I never understand when, where and why it keeps or keeps not the view options I set.

I'm no expert but I'd think you want to find that and delete it, if it doesn't look familiar. That's not a Mac-native extension.

Could be a leftover from an app I installed and deleted. I also installed some things with homebrew that were suggested when something with a similar name didn't exist, just to see what it is.
There was even Microsoft Excel in homebrew and I could use it without a license or account. Very strange. But Pages is already too much for what I need, so I deleted it.

I just thought about Boom 3D yesterday and that I could install it again because I still have a license and it always made the sound much better. But now I have a Creative Sound Blaster X5 and external speakers for my Mac, so I don't really need it.

Could try it anyway... Just to see if it works. And if my ancient license still works.

I meant when opening messages to read. I'll open one, read it, and delete it. Then the next one can open somewhere else entirely on my screen. I've even tried quitting mail while I have a message window open, then launching again

After reboot it crashed 4-5 times in a row, then it worked for a while but got somehow in conflict with the SoundBlaster and there was a red "incompatible driver" field or so. Then it crashed permanently.

Also I fear it's still installed on the dead SSD of my 2011 MBP. With luck it's on the 2017 and I can remove the license when I open the display in a less than 10° angle. ;)

Could be even on the M2 Pro. But I don't think so. Because there is still a Setapp trial installed that includes it.

It's 70% off if I buy it again in the next two hours. 🤔 But I think it is somehow always on sale.

Not happening here. I just tried it. It opened right where the deleted was before. Even if I open one from a different account it's the same place.

Anyone know if 15.2 fixes the MS Teams screen sharing bug. Or if MS fixed it?

Do you know this? It seems to be something similar and is working fine. But I only have 10 minutes trial. Also don't know where I got it from. Without Pro features it's free.

here too: each new message opens where the last one opened, ie same window size & placement...

Earliest would be the week of Dec. 2nd as they are closed for Thanksgiving next week and most rumors are pointing to iOS 18.2 releasing to public the week of Dec. 9th.
So you don't think its likely at all we'll see a GM next week?

It's audio plugin allows QuickTime Player to capture streaming audio in 48KHz/24bit, so thank you! :)
