I'm still seeing Time Machine backups failing when my M1 MBP sleeps or even seemingly when the Screensaver comes on. I've tried a few things from the "Time Machine Issues" post I saw, no help there.
no, not Windows 10, what you describe is Linux. And you don't need to pay for it.I will literally pay 499/year, maybe even more, for a "macOS Pro" that removes all the shareholder-pushed consumer BS (No AI, no genmoji, garageband, bloatware Tips, News, and TV apps etc.) and is just rock solid snow leopard 10.6.8 syle constant performance, compatibility, stability updates and nothing else. like basically windows 10 LTSC
- Updated style for summarized notifications better distinguishes them from other notifications by using italicized text as well as the glyph (Mac with Apple silicon)
is 15.3 no better at all?Network issues, buggy safari, buggy finder, first time in years all 3 computers freeze randomly, spotlight is an unusable garbage. But wait we have Genmoji so we can be more productive.![]()
No. No, you are not. The teenage girls and weird moms, however, are pumped.Am I one of the few with zero interest in Genmoji?

This is just not true. I recently installed Linux Mint on a 2015 MacBook Pro. Worked without any issue whatsoever. I remember this was very different 10 years ago. But Linux has come a long way.Linux requires constant tinkering and troubleshoooting and isnt for anybody who has a job or life
Its even worse. Sadly... I am getting Finder freezes. You cant open websites in any browser intermittently. (Not a network issue). Clean installed and same issues all over. Spotlight doesn't produce correct search results. Even tried resetting it. Like if you search Calculator, it searches google what the definition.is 15.3 no better at all?
It has not been a problem for me, even when I've wiped and restored a system. So my question is, do you find that the lack of bootable backups has been an actual problem? Serious question, I honestly don't know.
So they’re really not gonna fix iMessage on Mac work while using a VPN? Crazy.
Still no fix for network issues. My Mac mini has been unusable since installing macOS 15. Good job Apple, I’ve pretty much migrated to Linux on desktop now as it actually works with VPNs.
This is the most irritating thing*. “Backup failed.” Also, when I am backing up and I shut the lid, the backup stops – yes, I am connected to power.I'm still seeing Time Machine backups failing when my M1 MBP sleeps or even seemingly when the Screensaver comes on. Yes. But that’s been going on for a while, Sonoma was the same.I'm also still repeatedly prompted to "Trust This Computer" when I connect either my iPhone or iPad to my Mac mini or MBP...

Oh Gods, are we getting to the point where the first useable version of macOS is the last update before the next version breaks stuff again…?Its even worse. Sadly... I am getting Finder freezes. I am sitting here with only one app open and watching the finder crawl. Restart fixes it, but if you do heavy work it slows to a crawl again. This is the most irritating thing*. “Backup failed.” Also, when I am backing up and I shut the lid, the backup stops – yes, I am connected to power.
*actually the most irritating thing is that I can no longer drag-and-drop between folders with Finder automatically opening the folder to show its structure, so if I want to move something into a nested folder I must either open it in another tab/window, or do it one level at a time**
**actually the most irritating thing is how difficult it even is to force drag-and-drop in Finder to work, I try to catch the icons, the names, it works about 10% of the time. If something shows in the preview column, that works. If it doesn’t… patience is a virtue, but I’m not here to learn to be a virtuoso, Apple.
Yes. But that’s been going on for a while, Sonoma was the same.
But to say one good thing about Sequoia: I got an M4 MBP. I booted it when I received it, updated to 15.2, and haven’t needed to reboot once since. It also no longer spontaneously reboots like my M1 Air used to. I’m on 38 days uptime and there are no slow-downs, no memory leaks, It Just Works. Now, if Apple could do the It Just Works things with Finder and Music apps… yeah, I’d also pay for that. A Snow Sequoia, please. I don’t see why macOS even needs yearly updates.

What exactly is not working? I had VERY STRANGE issues the last 2-3 weeks, where WiFi connections stopped working (eg different behavior in combinations Browser / Terminal / WiFi network).Still no fix for network issues. My Mac mini has been unusable since installing macOS 15. Good job Apple, I’ve pretty much migrated to Linux on desktop now as it actually works with VPNs.
Ok, I updated to 15.3 on Jan 29, 25. It was a disaster. The update changed my Administrator account to "Standard". Word and TextEDIT went crazy and were un-usable. I could not install anything, though I'm the sole user of this iMac. Had to get outside help which resulted in a Factory Reset and going to a back-up. Took almost 9 hours to do. Anyway everything is working fine and now comes the 15.3.1, which I think would fix a rather big glitch. My question is, has anyone went to the 15.3.1 and are there any problems? I in a not trusting mood right now, since everything works now. All the best to all.
