We should be assuming that this calculating bug might not get fixed with 15.4 either (?)

Apple has acknowledged the Virtual Machines issue in the release notes for 15.4 beta 1.

Installed this update on my M4 Pro 16” MBP - got a problem in that it boots to the desktop and about 20 seconds later it freezes and proceeds to restart

Any idea how to resolve?

Don't think you will be able to...I gave feedback to apple as desktop should never appear before the login window.

I would strongly recommend including your hardware specifications. I'm not recognising any of these issues on my M1 MAX 64GB 2TB MBP. As indicated earlier there are issues with certain machines, and there are updates on the developer website to patch/fix it.

I face some known glitches after updating it. However, it's safe to update it. Although I liked the UI changes and the fact that Apple Intelligence is now available in many other languages.

No image capture works fine with my HP scanner. Fujitsu and ScanSnap have proprietary methods other than TWAIN. Image Capture is my work around for now but so much slower.
