I have a 2018 Mini and it is on 15.5 and whenever I check for system updates it tells me that I am up to date. Was update 15.6 released for the 2018 Mini's?

If your mini supports Sequoia it should get all updates. You can also download the full installer to update, it's in the AppStore or use the direct link (faster). Both links are in the first post here.

This is the 15.7 (Build 24G207) Release Candidate full installer. You can skip 15.6, there is no letter at the end of the build number, so it's not really a beta anymore and could be identical with the final version of 15.7.

https://swcdn.apple.com/content/dow...mxpzbcx08l13u0f59im4s5ph/InstallAssistant.pkg (15.65 GB)

You can also use the Teminal:

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 15.6

or

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 15.7

Edit:

Do

softwareupdate --list-full-installers

before, to see what's available. You should at least see 15.6 there. The newer ones might only appear if Developer Updates are activated.

Last week I updated all my devices to the latest firmware (iOS 18.6, iPadOs 18.6, Sequoia 15.6). After this, my MacBook Pro (M3 Pro) is not able to activate Wi-Fi calling anymore. It was working perfectly right before I updated my devices.

My iPad in the other hand has no issues.

I tried:
- Restarting my devices (both iPhone and Macbook)
- Enabling/Disabling Airplane mode
- Disabling/enabling the eSim
- Toggling on/off Wi-Fi calling from the iPhone
- Toggling on/off Calls on Other Devices on the iPhone
- Log out/in FaceTime on Macbook

The only thing I get is the prompt asking if I want to enable Wi-Fi calling, but it never activates on the Macbook. On my iPad it activates immediately.

PS: of course all my devices use my same Apple Account and of T-mobile support this features from many years ago. I always use this feature and noticed this right away after updating it.

Any ideas what else could I try?

I hate that FaceTime and iMessage never syncs the "You can be reached at" options with other devices after a clean install or even after updates (not sure). Again all had been activated.

I just discovered that EU option to choose another calling app.

WiFi calling is working for me with 15.7 RC2 even if the Mac has WiFi deactivated. I use Ethernet and only turn it on if I need Handoff or so.

Can't say if it would have worked in 15.6. I downgraded from Tahoe only to update to 15.7 RC almost the next day or so and there was no one calling me in that short time. I forgot to check the settings otherwise those two other email address already had been deactivated before like I did in iMessage.

Maybe try the update. I think it's almost finished and just waiting for the Tahoe release and the final version of Safari 26. Make sure to uncheck the Safari 26 Seed 2 update if you don't want it yet.

I wonder what it is also supporting. No Telegram it seems. I have many messengers installed but didn't launch the other ones yet. I only copied the files from Tahoe.

I just reached apple support by phone and they acknowledged this issue. They said they have it mapped in their internal forum, that 15.6 is experimenting this issue on Macs (NOT ABBLE TO ENABLE WIFI CALLING).
So engenirring is working on it.
Does anybody else here is having the same issue with WIFI CALLIING on 15.6 ?

New update for 15.7. Not sure if RC3 or just a Security Update, something like that had been mentioned and it was much smaller 4GB instead of 15GB for the first two RCs. There is still not a single mention of 15.7 in the Dev. Portal or Release Notes.

Safari 26 Beta 4:

There is a compact view bug since at least Beta 3 in 15.7. The address/search bar doesn't work when a when a after a website has been opened. But otherwise you can just open a new tab and close old ones with the "right click" menu.

Or just use Technology Preview instead.

Edit: Only release 225 doesn't have the bug. It can't be downloaded anymore.

The Technology Preview 226 for Sequoia released today has the same bug as the Safari 26 beta.

macOS Sequoia 15.6 on my M4 MacBook Air is causing Google Chrome to repeatedly shut down / quit unexpectedly.

Apple have somehow broken iPod sync below and including the iPod Gen4 (classic) and related Minis in 15.4 and haven’t bothered to fix it this time around either.

I know, legacy devices and all, but they are working great, and I for one think it’s embarassing for Apple when Windows is now a better platform for using Apple legacy tech.
Thanks for mentioning this. I have an iPod Shuffle 4th Gen that Apple broke with MacOS Sonoma syncing. I will keep syncing it with my ancient MacBook where it works fine but very slowly.

Am I the only one who no longer has the option to limit the battery to 80% instead of 100% while charging? In System Preferences > Battery

It's under Battery Health -> Optimised Battery Charging. You have to click the "info" icon to reach those settings.

Thanks. I guess it's a coincidence that this happens after updating. It's probably charging to 100% because it's better to do that once in a while. I still think it's unexpected that it stays at 100% ever since, because it's on the adapter all the time, so no need to charge to 100%, but maybe this is temporary?
