macOS 15.0 released 9/17 (UCT +7).

After upgrading to macOS 15.0, i'm facing an issue that my Mac Pro (M2) is unable to connect to WiFi, it connects to WiFi and disconnects after ~ 5 seconds.

I found that WiFi MAC Address is changed frequently which should be fixed, i attach video for reference. Anyone is facing same issue and any advice to handle it?

I had this exact issue. Choosing one of the WiFi options (OFF/Fixed, etc). Then Renewing DHCP lease worked it out for me.

It still drops occasionally but I don’t have to manually reconnect any more.

This was happening to me. I have tried every iteration of Fixed and Rotating and OFF. Nothing works. VPN & Filters have been removed. I keep disconnecting to WiFi every 30 seconds, I can’t get any work done.

The whole system menu is also atrocious. It doesn’t make logical sense. The submenus for Network & WiFi are worse. (Obligatory Steve Job rolling grave comment…).

Wtf is this ?!?

Who on earth came up with "Wi-Fi Address", it does not make any sense, even when you know what they talk about.
My thought exactly, although I can understand that "MAC address" is a bit confusing on a mac for people not in the know. It is still "MAC address" for ethernet, though.

You have to blame Jobs for that. "MAC" for media access control predates "Mac" the computer. This is one reason why, particularly when networks are involved, it is important to refer to the computer as the Mac (not MAC). May help to remember that Mac is an abbreviation for Macintosh (so only first letter is capitals), not an acronym (all capitals).

"MAC address" is common to a range of technologies (including Wi-Fi, ethernet, bluetooth) at the data link layer of the OSI Model. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_link_layer

As you have realised a Mac can have multiple MAC addresses with each referring to a particular network interface.

I found that WiFi MAC Address is changed frequently which should be fixed,
As elsewhere in macOS 15, I think Apple has gone over the top with this in the name of security/privacy. Making the Wi-Fi MAC address rotate by default was bound to cause trouble.
