I’m interested to hear whether anyone has QuickBooks 2015 working in the GM. There was an official statement that 2016 is the only version of QuickBooks that’s supported on Sierra. I usually upgrade every other year, but today an Intuit chat agent told me that 2016 is the end of the line. As in, there’s no QB Mac 2017 planned, and Mac users should eventually move to Online.

I figured I’d give in and switch to QBO eventually, but I was hoping to wait another year or 2. So now I need to figure out whether to switch to 2016 now, switch to QBO now, or use an unsupported 2015. I mean, obviously I don’t have to get Sierra immediately, but I can’t hold off forever. Gotta have those new emoji.

Are Safari extensions still broken or have they been fixed? Last I heard they needed to be reinstalled every time.

What about Premiere Pro and After Effects (both CC)? Do they work? Would love to know since i really want to upgrade but also need both apps for work...

Running build 16A320 of the GM candidate, VMWare just released version 8.5.0 which replaces version 8.1.1.

Was able to update from within 8.1.1, only thing I needed to do was reinstall the (presumably) newer VMWare Tools in Windows. v8.5.0 works just as fine as 8.1.1 did.

I'm so irritated with Intuit for this. I just may switch to Xero just to not give them the business anymore. Yes, I know Xero is online & monthly as well.

April of 2016, the developer of Identify stated on his blog:
Effective immediately, iDentify is being retired, and though I may answer an occasional question, I will no longer be officially supporting it. In the coming days, it will be removed from the MAS and MacUpdate. Since iDentify’s functions do not rely on any services I maintain, it will continue until… well.. until it doesn’t.

Today:
You can’t use this version of the application “iDentify.app” with this version of macOS.

The App Store & Macupdate downloads both won't launch on Sierra even with security disabled.

all I can say is, well that sucks and that stopped working WAY faster than I expected. any idea why this doesn't work in Sierra?

Also, now what do I use to tag all of the movies I download?

The most likely technical reason is that iDentify relies on garbage collection internally. The runtime to support that is no longer a thing in Sierra.

In case anyone was wondering, safari extension perviously installed do seem to be working. The old uBlock extension still works great.

Yes, I've seen the list. But InDesign was listed as having a problem in the first beta. Nobody has commented on if that was fixed or still persists in the most recent beta.

InDesign still isn't stable enough for production. When editing photos through the Links palette with Photoshop, Indesign crashes on me constantly. And Adobe is notoriously slow to update their apps to work with a new OS from Apple, so it'll probably be a couple months before I can update.

Although the Sierra GM was just released, maybe that fixes something.

Photoshop, Illustrator, and Ligthroom works like a charm :D

Actually, Lightroom does not work like a charm. When importing photos I am unable to configure the import folder structure because the entire panel to do so is missing. If I right-click in the right hand side of the import window, to bring up a small menu where I can show the missing panel, Lightroom crashes.

Confirm that I am seeing the same thing. A number of crashes on GM version. Disappointed.

I can import photos direct from the card via a sd card reader, but my camera does not show up at all. Tried both Canon & Sony cameras. Same in Image Capture App.

DEVONthink Pro (Office)

— developer has just updated it to version 2.9 with new sync proces. I'm hopping that someone could report if DEVONthink runs/doesn't run on Sierra.
Thanks in advance.

How about a section on page 1 with Unknown/Untested software, in addition to the Compatible and Incompatible sections?

interested also Devonthink is vital here.

Which exact version number of Lightroom?
Latest - LR6
The GM is the 1st one I believe - away from the system at the moment.

Had this issue since the I first tried beta 7 I believe. Understandable at the time but I would think it would have been addressed in the GM since it has been so obvious and easy to reproduce.

So Line works but the voice calling is bugged out. The app beachballs when you enter a group call and the audio cuts in and out.
