yeah i'm not doing the whole sip dance just to install a new beta. i can wait for this particular one to sort itself out

Yes it's better to wait. Otherwise I don't know if you can just install or update to the new Rosetta or have to install the whole beta again with a working full installer. I already have a headache from all this stress, just to get the latest beta installed. :(

I'm currently on MacOS 15.5. I was thinking about getting on 26 beta 3 today. My M3 Macbook Pro can't see that 26 beta 3 is available. I guess that's a sign that I don't need to risk this beta 3. 🤣

Is there an easy way to tell if one is using Rosetta on any apps on their Mac without having to check each app individually in Activity Monitor?

Yes

  • Click the Apple menu  > About This Mac > System Report…
(Or hold Option and click the Apple logo to go straight to System Information.)
  • In the left sidebar, scroll down to Software > Applications.
  • Wait a moment for the list to load — it may take a minute.
  • In the right panel, you'll see a column called Kind:
    • Intel: running under Rosetta on Apple Silicon.
    • Universal: native on both Intel and Apple Silicon.
    • Apple Silicon: native only on M1/M2/M3 chips — no Rosetta involved.

Same for M2 Pro 12/19 it dosent show up and no rosetta in my Mac

/Library/Apple/usr/share/rosetta
/Library/Apple/usr/libexec
Thanks, its working!
But now...i have another problem. I forgot they were in the Trash, and I emptied it. I'm trying to recover those 2 folders now using Disk Drill... hope it works. 😂

I deleted those two folders only. There is more but it seems it had been enough. You might need to disable SIP before.

/Library/Apple/usr/share/rosetta
/Library/Apple/usr/libexec

Let's see what happens when I put them back now.
yea its worked for me thanks

Missing purchased apps bug from Mac App Store is still present in beta 3. Still only showing some of my purchased apps under purchased apps in the MAS. And any app NOT installed on Mac is still wanting you to Get or repurchase again (even though if you go to account settings and view purchase history, you can search for your receipts and see you did indeed purchase them). One would have thought this would've been a bug that would have been a fix priority for Apple...

The Spotlight bug to exclude locations is still there. It just shows a blank window when you choose one and System Settings has to be forced quit. But it's working via Terminal commands.

Still nothing in Software Update OTA. Y'all are braver than I am, unplugging SIP and deleting Rosetta. I'm just going to wait for them to fix it. On the upside, iOS and iPadOS are working great. iPad 8 performing much better than it was in Beta 2. Phone is about the same.

Spotlight Apps got a significantly improved layout redesign:

In beta 2, you could only list apps by categories.

In beta 3, categories are still there but only at the very top shown as buttons. The most improved part is that now the first section shows your frequently opened apps, followed by the section with all apps in alphabetical order, followed by the section with all apps from the Utilities folder.

I have a MacBook Pro 14 inch M1 and deleted Rosetta. Now the Installer shows up in system settings. Before downloading it said 4.5GB after clicking download it says 12 GB. At least it is downloading now.

The Spotlight update (even if it is lovingly ripped off from Alfred et al.) is much more noteworthy a revision than Glass—frosted, liquid, or otherwise.
