CMD+Space doesn't work to launch Spotlight. I've tried changing the shortcut to another combination (Opt + Space) - no response.
I've tried to enable Spotlight in the menu bar to start it from there - no response.
I've tried to unplug everything - no response.
Each step has been tried with restarts.
Alright, figured it out! If you re-enabled launchpad with the terminal command, it turns off spotlight and all the indexing. I don't know why.

The command to restore spotlight and disable launchpad is

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/SpotlightUI.plist SpotlightPlus -dict Enabled -bool true

Which I found here: https://www.bgr.com/tech/how-to-restore-the-launchpad-on-your-mac-in-macos-tahoe/

Note: Always verify any terminal commands you find online, regardless of source. Also, never directly copy and paste from a webpage because additional text you cannot see can be injected when you paste it in the terminal window, as BGR's website does. Paste it in a URL bar first to sanitize it.

now it would be nice if they would switch automatically depending on the time - or will a little automation do the job?

Funny that I didn't see them until you posted this and I clicked the "Show All..."
Yea I only noticed today too. I don’t know if it’s possible to do automation on them though - but someone better at making shortcuts might be able to figure it out

It should be possible to change wallpapers using a shortcut via the new Tahoe automations.

I've just tried, and it failed with an error. I've logged a Feedback, but I assume it's because the new ones are movie files.

I had an issue whereby my Calendar changes, made on MacOS, weren't synchronising over to iCloud (and hence my iPhone).

On doing a refresh, I got an error saying the password for iCloud was wrong. Weird. Anyhoo ... went into Settings / Apple Account and everything looked fine.

Doing the above was enough to kick Calendar syncing back into life.
Did it stick though?

I find if I toggle Calendar in iCloud settings (not in Calendar settings) that this fixes it, but it's temporary and recurs after an hour or so. Anyone else seeing this? If so I submitted FB19245192 and it would be great if you did the same so Apple addresses it.

No.

You need to do it regularly. Just opening System Settings is enough - no need to toggle anything. I logged a feedback as soon as I noticed the issue and it's flagged as "more than 10" and "potential fix identified", so I'm confident it'll get sorted.

Excellent news. My own FB is lonely and unloved…! :)

Also on board now... just installed the PB. Right now this is the same like the DB, correct?

First impression: round windows... but design wise not such a terrible difference like some state. Not at all. Feels nice, I personally like the look.

1st time I disoverd this full screen mode in Music. Not sure it was there before? Probably yes. But definitly designed for a landscape screen! :p

only found the Day version... it's a mov located in /System/Library/Desktop Pictures/.wallpapers/Tahoe Day/Tahoe Day.mov

The others - Morning, Afternoon and Night are somehow not found anywhere

Auto-hide dock turns itself on here. This will happen only after the screen saver goes on for the first time after startup. Turning it off will show the dock but only until the next screen saver.

Calls via Phone app often fail.

yep, the fullscreen is there since long, I like it in landscape showing the runnings lyrics ...

So far it works well om my MBP M4 but battery drainage has definitely increased, but that is probably to be expected on a beta.

I enjoy the new interface.

Are there any changes to Reduce Transparency in Beta 4? Screenshots?
During capitan through Catalina, I liked reduced transparency with the light theme and the gray accent color.

Dark mode reduced transparency was always ugly as hell.

From big sur, reduced transparency looks terrible in either mode. And the light theme since big sur is unbearable so I just have to go with regular dark mode and gray accent.

I'd take light mode before Big Sur in a heartbeat over this crap.

I can stand everything when using reduce transparency except the dock in Sequoia. It looks insultingly bad.

Yeah, I recall that being the most offensive thing about dark mode with reduced transparency in El Capitan through Catalina. It didn't bother me in light mode though. I keep my dock auto-hidden, but even then it was too ugly in dark mode.

Me and dark mode never really got along. I get afterimages and slight astigmatism that i have makes it harder to discern light on dark than dark on light.

It turns out they are here: /Users/yourhomefoldername/Library/Application Support/com.apple.wallpaper/aerials/videos/ - thanks, reddit.

Nothing works here with Spotlight. I was hoping that this command would work, but no......I've tried so many different commands and I am getting <zip>. No spotlight, no shortcuts work and in Activity Monitor, spotlight shows but it does nothing - all zeroes.....
