Not sure I understand🤔 My screenshots have always been saved as jpg files on the desktop. Nothing has changed throughout the Tahoe Beta cycle.

Lou

Yeah, very strange. Has worked the whole time for me too. Mine usually just go straight to my desktop folder. The only thing that was changed was about a year ago, that was a terminal command to make sure they get titled "screenshot 1", "screenshot 2", etc.

I usually use cmd, shift, 4 for my screenshots but even other methods are not working.

Try:
Cmd+Shift+5
Pick "Options" from the thing that pops up and confirm where your screenshots should go. What you select here also applies to Cmd+Shift+3 and Cmd+Shift+4 screenshots, even though there is no UI for those.
(I usually have mine set to go to the clipboard only.)

Hey I appreciate the tip. Just tried and it shows it's saving to the correct location, my desktop folder. Screenshots still not showing up though 🤔

I am having some audio stutters in Safari and Apple Music when using AirPods Pro 2. Sometimes toggling Bluetooth On/Off can help for a few hours, but then it comes back.

have you tried force-quitting Finder? or try command-shift-period to see if there are any invisible files on the desktop (remember to hit that key combo again to hide invisible files....)

try opening the screenshot app and pointing your saves elsewhere. you could also try searching for 'screenshot' and see what you might find (and where, if....)

you should perhaps create a thread for this, it's not specific to this thread 🤔

So weird. I pointed it to documents and it worked. Pointed back to desktop and didnt work.

I'm guessing the new public beta will be out any day now so I'll give it until then and then I will make a post.

I appreciate the help bud.

permissions issue? anyway, see if the next beta fixes it (you can also check the desktop folder's permissions; command-i the desktop, and make sure you have read & write access...)
