Tahoe really sucks - a jerky, fan spinning mess on my M4 MacBook Pro. Rolled back to Sequoia today and it's like heaven. I think I'll skip Tahoe completely if I can.
Can I just use Time Machine for going back? Or do I have to wipe my Macbook first?

Erase first. Restart in Recovery\Options — Disk Utility — Erase (erase, not delete!) ONLY 'Macintosh HD - Data' volume. After restart install SEQUIE or the system offered there.

Might be a wrong place to ask, but can you guys use Battery widget on Mac to show you battery levels on your iPhone and Watch? I never could, it only shows Mac battery with 3 remaining lots blank.
In my case it shows the battery from the Mac and the battery from my Magic Mouse, with the other slots blank. I presume it would also show AirPods battery if you had them paired to your Mac. The description for the widget says "batteries for your Mac and connected Bluetooth accessories".

I thought maybe you'd be able to get the phone/watch batteries to appear by adding the *iPhone* version of the battery widget. But while it does allow you to add iPhone widgets to macOS (since Sequoia I think), it won't let you add that one, it only presents the Mac version of the widget as an option.

Open up Apple TV App. Go to your movies or library. Do a search in any category. Home Videos, Movie....once the item is found. Click it once to select it and ATV crashes every single time.

So randomly my dock did not show after I woke my mini. I thought I'd inadvertently hidden it, but moving the mouse to the edge did not show the dock. I had to go into Settings, enable "auto hide and show the dock", then disable it, to make it show again.
This still happens to me also, and I never have screen saver enabled (my screen just goes dark after 15 minutes of inactivity when plugged in). It doesn't happen consistently, and toggling the auto hide dock setting is how I've gotten my dock back.

This. I have the same problem...

Does anyone know if this behavior with custom folders is normal and intentional, or a bug?

I created the 'Favorites' folder below as a test, perhaps to use it for frequently used files and apps, and planned on placing it in the Dock for one click access to all:

But when I placed this folder in the dock, the customization is not showing and it just looks like a blank, plain folder:

I really hope that this was not intentional and how they intended customized folders to work. If a color is applied to a custom folder, that disappears as well when placed in the Dock. :/

Completely unable to use 3 of my favourite apps I was TestFlight testing, then went to install the App Store versions. They’re now stuck in an endless ‘downloading’ loop and won’t open.

Absolutely nothing fixes it. Deleting the apps, signing out of the App Store, killing all App Store processes, restarting, even creating a test user account.

And it’s still not fixed in 26.1 beta 1 either.

Absolute joke.

I've been using the Tahoe 26.1 beta and it's a complete disaster. One of the worst upgrades I've done in over 20 years of using Macs. The most infuriating problem is that most apps cannot do basic operations like moving files or accessing emails or synchronizing photos to iCloud. They all report that there isn't enough space in my home folder although there is over 200GB free on my startup disk.

Impossible to develop my apps in Xcode because it keeps saying that dynamic libraries could not be loaded on my iPhone. I'm stuck!

Anyone else having issues with apps and some windows not remembering their size and or position after closing? The Mail app keeps opening in maximized view, despite closing it in the desired view and position countless times.

Try this:

1) right click on the folder in Finder, select Get Info.

2) drag an appropriate icns file and drop in onto the icon at the upper left corner to give it a custom icon. You can find some at https://macosicons.com

3) drag the folder to the side bar in Finder

4) right click on the item in the side bar and select Add to dock

5) right click on the item in the dock, make sure Folder is selected rather than Stack.

6) you can now remove the item from the side bar if you don't want it there

Thank you for this. While I already know how to change icons, etc., this reminded me that I could probably use this method as a workaround. Create custom icon/glyph folders for the embossed look that I am going for, save those folders as icons, then use those 'folders icons' as icons on the folder that I want to use in the Dock. This works, but Apple should allow the icon/glyph used in customized folders to retain in the Dock (and Side Bar) since you're picking from a set of macOS icons and glyphs. It's crazy that we need workarounds for something so basic.

This is also broken for folder aliases, I'm old school and have app and folder aliases on my Desktop as drop targets. They simply haven't gotten to it yet. With liquid glass the tint and icon could maybe be reflected in the corresponding window in interesting (optional!) ways, too. Maybe they get to explore it more in the coming years, unless they quietly tone down things to a more classic look.

Not sure if this is a OS 26 bug or a bug on this Forum...
My "Watched threads" list is getting kinda big, and I noticed a "Manage Watched Threads" button to the right; when I click on it it gives me three options, but none of them work; this is the case on both my MBP and my iPad.
I can click on each thread in my "Watched Threads" individually, and remove it that way, but it will take much longer (first world problems).
