Now that we're on the RC, it feels like it just kind of runs somewhat slow on my M2 MacBook Air (8GB). It's still perfectly usable, just not as instant like it used to be. Whether it's opening an app, or waiting for the News app to load stories. These things are instant on my iPhone and iPad.

Yes, it's noticeable. The Sequoia is a little faster.

I can’t believe they released this RC while one of the worst issues from the betas is still unresolved!

I’m running on a MacBook with an M4 processor.

Every now and then, the audio starts stuttering (dropouts and distortion), especially after pausing a video in Safari, for example.

The only temporary fix I’ve found is going into the command line and typing:

sudo killall coreaudiod

That gets things working properly again. But honestly, it makes no sense to ship the OS in this state, and I think a lot of users are going to be seriously disappointed.

Please feel free to add this issue to the Wiki.

I've been having horrible audio interruptions (static then drop out) on Air Pods regular and Air Pods max, usually my Mac Book is docked with Wifi turned off when its connected over ethernet, I noticed when I left Wifi on I don't get any audio issues.

Just updated it on my M1 Pro. Mission Control isn't quite at 120Hz. This almost reminds me of Leopard - when Apple had to split targeting time between PPC and Intel machines. Snow Leopard was much smoother on the same hardware due to only targeting Intel Macs. Hopefully that'll be the case next year...

I have a Macbook Air M3.

Just submitted Feedback on a silly bug in the RC.

Every time you export a mailbox in Mail, the save dialogue gets a little wider. And you can't shrink it.

I'm on the latest RC on my MBA , so far the only issue I found is being impossible to change document folder colors on my Mac . The choice to do so isn't even there when I right click .
On iPad and iPhone I can only add an emoji .
Anyone else seeing this ?

RE: audio issue

I get three static charges lasting ten seconds when playing a VLC video, mp4-mov even 57 minutes
on a Mac mini with Monterey-Sequoia via blue tooth Klipsch speaker, but not existent with 3 homepod minis.
I don't expect Tahoe to remedy this problem.

oh them s!

silly bug, Tahoe is for kids!

guess im excited, or whoever emotion inside, since we really need a stable OS that
just works.
works with non speakers, software and play MUSIC flawlessly.

Mojave was that last one that did those things.

Still dealing with the contrast bug after waking up from sleep after a while. Anyone else?

Quick look also keeps breaking and I have to completely force quit finder. Really not impressed this year with the betas. My iPhone 16 PM also overheats. Usually betas are completely fine for me but not this year.
I’ve been running into the same Quick Look issue since the recent beta updates, and it’s still happening on the latest version. Could you let me know which model you’re using? I’ve only noticed this problem on my M4-chip MacBook Pro, so I’m wondering if it might be a compatibility issue with the M4.

Have you tried IINA?

UPDATE on #83 . I called  , spent over an hour on the phone doing loads of different things . Finaly the nice guy had me reload the whole system but I still can't customize folders on my MBA ! I'm "slightly" ADHD and was really looking forward to this .
If anyone here has an idea I would really apreciate it .
Am I alone with this issue ?

Wait, in what way? Can you show a screenshot of what you're trying to do?

my studio monitors, music software (and the music app itself) all work without issue here on tahoe (and it's been pretty good since the first developer beta). and the OS is running stable...

system settings>appearance. "folder color". you can also put custom icons on folders by clicking once on a folder, hitting command-i, and pasting an image on the icon in that info window (after, of course, you've copied the icon first).

plaster is great too; around a long time, and continues to work, to make folder icons out of any image.

The appearance changes the color of all folders , the other I used way back when . I'll have a look at plaster , thank you .

When I right click on a folder , Customize just doesn't show up in the menu for me

you can still paste an icon in the info window (i used to use icons that were, in fact, other-color folders, over specific folders this way)
Yeah but I really hoped it would work as expected in MacOS 26 for me . It doesn't even after reinstallig the system.
