Untested Issues
  • Wi-Fi not working on M1 MBA. Broadcom BCM4378 chipset Driver: IO80211_driverkit-1525.88 with firmware from July 11, 2025. Connects to Wi-Fi and Hotspots, gets DHCP lease with correct IP/gateway/DNS, but cannot reach gateway or any network hosts. Rebooting, forgetting network, etc. do not resolve.
  • Alarms may not play when your display is asleep for a long period of time (FB10086690)
    • Workaround: Make your display not fall asleep in Settings > Lock Screen > Turn display off on ____ when inactive. You can turn your brightness off.
    • Issue present since macOS 13.0
Additional Notes
  • Please know, Memory Management has always been an issue on any OS (not just Apple's). If you believe there is a Memory Leak, please go to the Apple Menu > Restart > Restart to fix it.
  • When a new macOS release comes out, all issues automatically go to "Untested Issues" until they are moved by someone. Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"
  • macOS 26 Tahoe will be installed via a Delta Update in System Settings. Please be aware about this and the update won’t install with an installer.

In safari in full screen mode, if you use the sidebar the corner on the left gets all weird like a bunch of semi circles smashed together. Did they fix that? I attached the messed up version after you use the sidebar and how it is regularly below. Also, has the "launchpad" animation been fixed? Lots of the times the animation was glitchy.

EDIT:

Downloaded it myself, and it is fixed. I had reported two other bugs and they got fixed too. I think they fixed the animation for "launchpad" as well which is a lot bigger by the way. For whatever it's worth this seems like a proper build release build.

My external drives are not connecting. Even Time Machine is not connecting. Disk Utility doesn't show any exterrnal drives. USB's not showing up either.
I am using a USB Switch. Connecting directly to Mini drives work. Switch worked before update.

After updating to macOS 26.1 Beta 1, I’ve noticed dark lines appearing around the sidebar and other UI elements. For example, in Finder, the sidebar has a dark outline and there’s also a circular dark border around the “Appearance” section.

This visual effect is present across different panels and apps, not just in Appearance. It looks like an unintended rendering or UI bug introduced in this beta version.

Edit: I fixed it inside Settings > Accessibility > Display > Differentiate without color (turn off).
I have no idea why this setting was turned on after the update...
