Soo.. What y'all thinking people. Just got myself a 2019 16" MacBook Pro in excellent condition. Should or shouldn't I upgrade to Tahoe? Currently running Sequoia 15.7.5

It fixes a major problem for us in our schools as 26.4 broke our new SMB network time machine backups setup. It tended to affect those who were using old AFP Timemachine backups so that when we changed home to the newer system as advised by Apple, it wouldn't authenticate. Didnt affect a new clean system.
Yeah that hit our Apple Silicon devices hard here at work. That should have warranted a ..dot-dot release. Every time you tried to access a Windows file server it hard kernel panic ensued and the computer would reboot. I’m glad they have fixed it but shame on Apple for not being to issue this fix the week after 26.4 came out.

Do you know if this bug was this bug introduced in the final release?
Or is it something that none of the beta testers tested?

broken calibration?

I got Display fully calibration finished on 26.4 display SW and 26.4.1 on Mac mini m4 pro
I am using a Calibrite Display Plus HL in conjuncition with the MacOS display calibration. When I attempt to calibrate under 24.6.1 it crashes at the end. Others, including ArtIsRight, have reported this worked under 26.4 but crashed under 26.4.1. Additionally, others on this forum have reported that under the last 26.5 beta that it may be working, but required an update for the Studio Display that was yet to be released. Hence, my question.

Sorry to hear.

All I can say is I did the same. Calibrite Plus HL with a mini m4pro on 26.4.1 and screens on 26.4 and that worked.
I did only connect one display at a time so I didn’t have control to check status on a second monitor.

It crashed on 26.5 beta because the measurement could not be saved to the screen on a lower os version. Might be the issue with the x.x.1 difference too in your case

Hi S,

Good that you had some success. I will try again with the release a 26.5. That said, I am satisfied with the results of the Calibrite software. Plus, with the Calibrite software there is a way to validate how good was the calibration. My understanding is that the MacOS version is no where near as robust with the respect the validation--but it is convenient to use.
