In my experience, you do NOT need OCLP (Dortania) 3.0.0n, nor do you need OCLP Mod 2.4.0 or 2.4.6 from laobamac.

All based on my original iMac late 2013.

And since full graphics support for my NVIDIA Kepler graphics card isn't expected for the time being anyway, installing OC 1.0.5 is perfectly sufficient; this restores full USB, Bluetooth, and Ethernet connectivity.

The sound problem is solved by installing @Mirone's AppleHDA.kext (4.5 MB) with his excellent MyKextInstaller V.3 app.

So, EVERYTHING, except graphics support, works on a late 2013 iMac (27-inch). WiFi (I don't need it) also works perfectly with my USB-WiFi TP Link T9HU.

interesting my WiFi tp link isn’t working on both Mac mini or the pro 2014.

Tahoe 26.0b2 on MBP12,1 (Pro 13 2015 A1502), using OCLP 3.0.0n (no patches). All is working, expect graphics acceleration, Wi-Fi & BT and audio.

Cannot patch system by OCLP 3.0.0n or OCLP-mod, but keep trying;)

OCLP 3.0.0n is generating OC EFIs that include a separate USB map for Tahoe. Those who have already modified their existing USB map (adding usb-port-type and usb-port-number to each port definition) will only have a single USB map for Big Sur through Tahoe.

Yes ist correct the OC 1.0.5 make this Automatic and create this Usb-tahoe.kext in kext-Folder

I have 3.0.0n installed on Seq waiting for the Devs, at least for now, if I reinstall from the 3.0.0 in the Dortania folder will it download the newest 3.0.0n, or simply repeat what is already there.

Can someone please answer this, I am a bit confused since on my last T26b3/3.0.0 experiment, where I did briefly see a Tahoe desktop before it went white and I finally wiped and prepared for another, during the OTA download OCLP did show-up and ask to prepare for the download and loaded the new Kext.

@ronton3 I'd love to try to help, but I don't understand your question. I'll take a guess and offer what worked for me:
  • Create macOS Tahoe Beta 3 USB installer with an installer downloaded directly from Apple. I did not use OCLP to download Tahoe Beta 3.
  • Use OCLP 3.0.0n only for building/installing the OC EFI. It's not yet ready for any post install patching at this time.
If that doesn't answer your question, maybe someone else can interpret or you can ask again if you don't receive other responses.

OK, my first venture into Tahoe. Machine: iMac 18,2 2017. Installed it using OCLP 2.4 on stick and target drive (Crucial SSD in a USB3 caddy plugged into TB3 port).
Everything installed OK. Once up and running, I had no wifi, sound, ethernet etc, so did not proceed further. Once I can find the OCLP 3.0.0 beta, I will try again and see what happens, but from what I observed, if the patcher gets the various bits working, it should run acceptably. There was some strange 'breathing' of the brightness, but again, I'm hoping the patcher will see to that.

Thanks for the info but all I am trying to do is make sure I have the latest 3.0.0 nightly. Can I simply open the one I have now and hit build and install, does that upgrade it, or do I need to redownload from the website.

After I was satisfied that Ethernet and other features were working properly,
I tried installing my TP Link T9UH V.1 using Chris1111's tool: "Wireless USB Clover Big Sur Adapter."

It works perfectly on Sequoia, even though it's not AirPort compatible, so iMessage doesn't work.

On Tahoe Beta 3, the tool can be installed, but when trying to connect, the message
"USB device not connected" appears.

I should mention that I ONLY installed OC 1.0.5 from the OCLP 3.0.0 package.
I did NOT try to run the root patch because that doesn't work; I get the error message "metallib.pkg not found."

Does anyone have a USB-WiFi TP Link adapter running on Tahoe Beta 3?

you do NOT need OCLP (Dortania) 3.0.0n, nor do you need OCLP Mod 2.4.0 ..... installing OC 1.0.5 is perfectly sufficient
Both OCLP 2.4.0 and OCLP 3.0.0n use OpenCore 1.0.5 files, e.g., OpenCore.efi. We already talked about this.

I created a pure OpenCore 1.0.5 bootloader (no OCLP-App) and tried to use it to boot the Ventura already installed on my iMac 14.3 Late 2015: it ends up in a KP.
A Tahoe installer stick also ends up in the KP.

Where did you get your OpenCore 1.0.5 (link)?

Use OCAuxiaryTools to update things (if you use you do at your own risk)

It is my understanding that chris1111's USB Wi-Fi solutions currently require OCLP-Mod for Tahoe. I'm only posting this to answer your question and not as a recommendation. I haven't tested it and I don't plan to.

I’m confused thought they had actually used it given previous posts.
Looking at the OCLP mod it installs a driver/usb extension that chris1111 is relying on wonder if there’s a work around.
