Dear friends, I think we have to accept that this project has effectively been abandoned. Apple seems to have killed it by hiring its lead developer.

At this point, I don't think we should expect anything more from OCLP. Continuing to wait for a solution is, sadly, becoming a waste of time.

It's a real shame, because OCLP has been an extraordinary project. It has given many perfectly capable Macs a much longer life and, in doing so, has helped fight against planned obsolescence.

Honestly doesn’t matter what OCLP does if apps begin stop working and has to be latest update to sync them it’s game over while nice to be updated if apps are unstable/unuseable it’s not worth it anyway yet I agree with there’s nothing wrong with my 2014 MacBook but Apple I’m sure will force us to update wether it’s a update for iOS that says no longer syncs with Intel Macs or something along those lines.

This is exactly right ( I am typing this on a MBP 2019 with fans blazing 😉 even though I do not know if it is intentional or just a lazy side-effect from the small fruit company. Regardless it is also why I do not carry much hope for decent performance with Tahoe on legacy Macs with OCLP. Mostly pure conjecture, but also based on some comments made by the devs and I suspect this might well also be part of the decisions of the dev team. But as @hackintosh_user wrote, it has certainly been a legendary open source dev run even if it ends somewhere around here.
