Just finished installing and can't login back into the session, it keeps going back to requesting the login password every time. Anyone else?

I would try rebooting. If not, try running in Safe Mode.

To do this on an Apple Silicon Mac:
  1. Shut down your Mac
  2. Press and hold the Power Button until you see "Loading Startup Options"
  3. Press and hold Shift and press "Launch" (Your disk name) "In Safe Mode"
  4. Report the bug

To do this on Intel Mac:
  1. Shut down your Mac
  2. Press and hold Option then press the power button
  3. Press and hold Shift and press "Launch" (Your disk name) "In Safe Mode"
  4. Report the bug

Does anyone know if this Beta 2 has solved the problem with external displays via DisplayPort over USB-C?

(M1 Mac) Rebooting did nothing, I tried reinstalling the beta via the recovery startup options. Turned out to have fixed it.
Did you lose everything on your system or did it reinstall over the top and preserve everything?

Same here. 16” intel.
Went into safe mode and deleted all my login startup items and tried logging in again and still broken

Created a new user from safe mode and rebooted, logged in as new user and it logs in successfully and windowserver doesn’t crash

crap, I just noticed that when reinstalling, it actually reinstalled the beta 1, not the second one. It just reinstalled the OS, everything, including settings are still there.

Reinstalled the profile and now I'm back at downloading the beta 2. will see

Thanks. Just doing a backup of everything whilst logged into a newly created account. Will try a reinstall after.

Do you have Bartender app running? read somwhere else that it can make windowserver crash. I'm retrying with that app removed and will see

Bartender disabling doesn't fix it neither did reinstalling. I can't even log in in safe mode. it just loops back to password prompt. I have nothing connected to the macbook. reverting to previous version again

Deleting the plist files did not help as I had a display profile for the built-in retina display. I had to delete that profile through a second account and via command line and I can finally log back in!

Possible fix from reddit: It may be related to display calibration profile created by Xrite or some other external software. Resetting display config and/or removing the profile seems to fix it. Trying this as we speak:
Confirmed as working here. Was using a custom profile for the inbuilt screen. Logged in as the freshly-created test user, opened the ColorSync app, saw my colour profile under computer, deleted it from the file system at the path shown in ColorSync. Logged out and in as my “broken” user and all working. Thanks!

I also had to remove my custom icc-profile, was crashing back to the login screen nonstop before manually deleting it using terminal in recovery mode.

Just wondering during initial testing that the ability to open Apps\Progs and hide on Startup has gone, sure you can open them but they don't automatically hide any more leading to a frantic closing session.
This would have been a great feature for Apple Mail but it seems sadly they have "missed the boat."
Anyone hear if this is a future feature to fix either the Apple Mail Opening and hidden or the restoration of the Programmes opening and hiding?
If anyone knows if I am missing something or there is a workaround I would be most grateful if you could let me know, apart from the usual teething troubles Ventura seems fine :)
