Does anyone know if Ventura fixes the trackpad-lag issue (in Monterey)? I'm using an M1Max MBP with an XDR display, and it still gets laggy scrolling (two-finger scrolling on the trackpad) and sometimes will not click-and-drag (e.g., resize a window; resize a column). I have to use an external mouse. Bluetooth trackpad also has the same problems. With most dot-releases of Monterey the problem became less extreme and less frequent, but it is still a regular problem (currently on 12.6.1). I do not need anything new in Ventura, but I'd like to have a functioning trackpad!

It seems to work OK for me, unless I'm doing something daft like putting my feet up on the desk and inadvertently clipping the Magic Trackpad with my heel and locking the whole system up and wondering why nothing's happening :p.....but seriously, I had so much trouble with Monterey that anything seems like an improvement.

When trying to go into or move around in the iCloud System Settings the whole pane locks up for minutes at a time and sometimes everything else on the Mac locks up for minutes at a time if you're in the iCloud System Settings.

This appears to be a bug either related to Advanced Data Protection being turned on from other Apple devices or because Private Relay is unable to be enabled (due to the use of a different DNS solution like PiHole). Ultimately responsiveness while in the iCloud System Settings went back to normal but it was pretty unresponsive for a long time. I rebooted several times, shutdown and started several times etc.

V13.1, my network details are missing. Just a blank box. Anyone else unable to access their network connections?

I've been waiting to upgrade my MBP 14 M1 Pro until the the battery issues were resolved. What have experiences been on 13.1 official release?

I'm running VPNTracker 365 on an Intel MBPro with the latest Ventura OS update with no issues using iCloud system settings. Perhaps the VPN app is just updated to work with Ventura 13.1?

I'll be updating my Mac Studio to 13.1 soon (also runs VPNTracker 365), so hopefully it will remain a non-issue.

The update broke my Internet connection. It connects to the Access Point, but nothing is going out of the network for this Mac mini (M1, 2020). When I ping Google, I get the following message: Request timeout for icmp_seq
It spontaneously loses Internet connection without indication. I've ruled out the Access Point, and Ethernet cable as the culprit. A PC is connected to the same Access Point without problems. Enabling Wi-Fi only, and deleting the service, then adding it again in network settings doesn't do anything. I had Private Internet Access installed, but I uninstalled it.

didn't you tried to find out, what app is draining your battery?
Haha of course I did. When any app is active it tends to use an excessive amount of CPU (60% and higher). Sometimes Mail app joins the party in the background. I did some usual tricks to solve this but it didn't help. So, the clean install is the only option I haven't tried yet.

I had this issue with macOS 13 Beta 6... Had to do a clean install to fix it. Sad to see that this issue is still present...

Same. It's a bad bug I already reported via Feedback Assistant. Can't believe I can't edit iCloud settings because of this bug.

Have you double-checked the integrity of your trackpad?

Had a similar issue. I would connect to wifi, but webpages would load indefinitely.
No matter how much troubleshooting I did alone and with Apple Support: I had to reset my MBP 2020 to factory settings, and reinstall macOS.

I figured out the problem. Every time I opened Plex, I would start having these Internet problems. I contacted Plex, and they said it must be a Firewall. I had enabled Home Network Protection on my router a couple months ago, so I had to disable the feature for the Mac with Plex on it, then it was resolved.

Glad it worked for you without a clean install :)

Ventura basically broke my wifi. I have tried everything including reinstalling 13.1 in recovery, and seeing if I could fix the problem in safe mode (I couldn't). I even reset PRAM. I think I may have to reset to factory settings, but I forget: does this wipe everything off the computer, or will my files still be there? I have backups, but restoring files from backup would be another step I would be grateful to avoid.

In the meantime, anyone have their wifi just simply fail after updating to 13.1? I updated from 12.6.2 if that makes a difference. Intel iMac.
