I've got Ventura PB 1 running now as a Parallels VM on my MacBook Pro 14" that is running Monterey 12.4.

I downloaded a Monterey VM via Parallels, then downloaded the profile and it udpated the VM to Ventura just fine.

Pretty cool....

Does it still download a separate installer? Thinking of installing on a separate partition in case of disaster.

First blush impressions:

The problems in Monterey 12.5 beta 5 seem to be gone. Yay!

The only one I am unsure about is the memory utilization. So far - so good.

I am not a fan of the new preferences layout. It does seem to work well and many of the problems early developers reported seem to be gone (e.g. searching for things).

The install did go through 4 or 5 times of the Apple logo and progress bar before it finally finished. Install took right at an hour on my machine. Mine is heavily loaded though.

Fingers crossed. Very thankful to be off 12.5 beta 5. That beta was a mess.

First impressions. Dont see the need for the new time or weather app.Time is always showing in the menu bar and the weather app doesn't have a mode to place it in the menu bar.

UPDATE: Had to reinstall my printers, they didn't transfer over from the previous MacOS installation.

Clock app is useful for world clock and timers and timers will be displayed on the menu bar.

Weather app it's pretty to look at when you open it

How's the audio side of things?? In the last year I moved on from Logic and went back to Cubase so Im not so sure I can play the public beta game this year haha.
i'll probably dive into ventura later today (am between projects... so have almost a week before i have to have everything working). will report back (there's a thread here specifically about audio work & ventura).

we'll see how it goes (i've already doubled my meds for the day, so can handle anything).

More stable than expected, but Calendar and Reminders won't sync with my Office 365 work account. Mail and contact sync works, though. Tried removing/re-adding account, clearing Calendar cache - nada. Waiting doesn't fix it either (some said it took 15-20 min) - been waiting since yesterday.

I haven't gone through everything by any means. I have encountered a few minor bumps.

In general it is an absolute pleasure.

The ability to send email on a schedule is a great addition. It would be nice if it easily allowed templates. Or perhaps it does and I just haven't found it yet.

The spelling and grammar checker is still an embarrassment.

I have occasionally run into tight memory. I cannot confirm that as any sort of problem.

Once or twice it has dropped the connection to my iPad under Universal Control. The Added + item easily allowed reconnection. Great add.

The calendar could still use an undelete function or trash can.

I did have one weird issue. I mis-entered my Apple ID on an entry, and the system then forced a new password. And it ended up forcing two message boxes that I could not kill or delete. Hard reset also didn't easily solve it. Changing the password on another device did work after another hard reset.

I still have not checked sound, or all of my apps. MS Office definitely works better.

Overall this beta is a joy.
