From Italy! :D

Good morning / afternoon for everyone.
The actual release candidate 2 build number is 13.0 (22A380).
It seems the same as the actual released version. So comming from RC2 there are no suggested stable upgrades.

If possible would any of you confirm after upgrade process that the release build number is the same 22A380?.
Many thanks .
Regards.

The update on Apples servers is the same as RC2. However, iOS and iPadOS are different from the RC.
Correct! Interesting. I removed the Developer Beta Profile and got another update.

Now I am waiting for the full macOS installer on the App Store. I am having odd behavior on long sleep and will try re-installing.

Oh guys, battery on Monterey SUCKS compared to Ventura... I got through the day with more than half a tank left.

Day isn't over yet, but...

Can't wait to install Ventura on my main volume.

Does WindowServer still crash a bunch, mainly when waking from sleep? Specifically on M1 Air?

Can't change the wallpaper to custom graphics... added a folder, but regardless of which photo I choose, all I get is the dynamic yellow flower thing... I can change to other baked in graphics, but nothing custom.

I can't check or uncheck anything in Finder > Settings > General. Also, the hard drive disappears and reappears in finder quite often. New Finder Windows show: also does nothing, no matter what it is set on.

Installed on 2017 Macbook Pro which is Intel, I would hope its better on my M1 but don't dare install as it is my workhorse.

well, I'm still waiting Apple fixes many bugs of Monterey, I guess I will wait until January to upgrade Ventura as usual..

One year seems to be a very short time to release a new OS, it would be great a pause and release a new "mountain Lion" no new features, just bug fixes improved performance on every Mac they are selling and minor upgrades.

Upgraded my M1 Pro MacBook Pro to macOS Ventura. So far it's been smooth sailing. All my apps work perfectly, haven't encountered any obvious bugs or weird behavior. Battery life seems to be a lot better compared to macOS Monterey. Enabled Stage Manager and I'm really liking that too: changing between apps like clicking through cards. Response to a drag-'n'-drop could be a bit faster though.

How come we cannot change the width of the new system prefs window like with? There isn't even a proper full screen for some reason. I makes me almost claustrophobic (exaggerated) how squeezed everything looks, especially on things like the wallpaper menu. it does not even fit in the window! but you cannot change the width

you couldn't in any way resize the previous system preferences; not sure what the issue is. there are submenus for everything, so all easily accessible.

and you can click on 'show all' in the wallpaper window, to see all the wallpapers in a given category.

can't imagine why system settings would need to be a full-screen app.

I have been agreeing with this too. While I like Settings better than Prefrences, it doesn't seem macOSy because of the scaling. However, you can suggest it by typing
Code:
applefeedback://
in Safari, Press return, then opening Feedback Assistant.

macOS ventura needs a lot of ram memory and very badly redistributes ram memory which is no longer used
Just like Monterey?
Big Sur 4 GB /16
Ventura 12GB/16
With safari as the only application ok!!!!!

yes but the ram consumption remains high as soon as safari is running, I found the problem partly windowserver 1.57 GB
normally it should be reduced, we'll see. Still, even 8GB is huge, I installed it recently, I'm waiting to see what happens next.
If ventura is already in Beta 13.1 it's no coincidence Apple delivers the bones too quickly from Monterey, for me the best version and macOS Big Sur. 11.7

I've already posted this on another thread, but here it goes.
Don't know if this is as Apple intended or a bug, but anyone noticed that the date formats are now limited to the ones Apple decides to allow us?
In previous versions of Mac OS, including Monterey, anyone could customize the date formats, including choosing separators for dates, like in short date formats. I used the forma DD.MM.YYYY, for example.
Now in Ventura, the only options for Portugal are DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD.
As fase as I know, this varies from country to country, and for Germany, the format I used is available.
Does this make any sense to you?

Personally I think this makes sense. Imagine some cluttered ones...

However, I believe it is still possible to change it to a custom one in Terminal.

So, I found one little thing in Ventura I am very disappointed about :

Up until Monterey, if I wanted to share a document via AirDrop all I had to do was right click on the file, point to "Share" and then a sub-menu with options, like AirDrop, would open.
Now on Ventura, there's no sub-menu opening, I have to click on "Share" and then a new window pops up with the exact same entries as before.

I find this new behaviour to share a document
way slower than the previous one.

Yeah unfortunately Apple wants behaviors to be similar to iOS.
