macOS volume could not be located error when I try to boot it from boot camp manager on windows side.

Also tried to hold option during restart but it only shows me one volume which is the WindowsOS boot.

I cannot seem to load into the macOS folder, and am worried that I may have lost all my files.
When I run command prompt and list the disks I see that the ram is freed up.

All I have done in windows, is run anti virus software, and upgrade my drivers using IO Driver Booster.

Does anyone have a clue on how I can resolve this issue without losing my files, (if i have not done so already)

The obvious question: Do you have a backup? It sounds like you may have overwritten your macOS partition when you installed Windows via the Boot Camp Assistant. I've seen that happen before when someone formats the wrong partition when setting up Windows via Boot Camp.

No i do not have a back up unfortunately.. but im am 100% positive I did not format the wrong selection during boot camp... Before I updated the drivers from IO Driver booster, I switched back to mac OS a few times.

I tried to reinstall OSx but the only partition is allows me to do it on is the current windows 120gb..
while i have 300~Gb that doesnt show up.

[doublepost=1534035490][/doublepost]Because when you have to make a bootable flash drive from bootcamp, it asks to add Bootcamp utilities, and also it asks how big you want the partition to be. and When I installed windows, I selected the smaller 120gb partition to install it on.

[doublepost=1534043149][/doublepost]Seems as if it is empty since its 100% free... Do you think installing a new MACOS would resolve anything? Or do you think its a bug from windows end not being able to properly read macOS files, because I tried Internet Recovery or w.e Command R -> brings up mac features & bar so I dont know what to think right now.

I'm not very good at this so please hang on for other opinions:

The 183 MB partition should be your macOS EFI partition which contains the boot info.

The 344.59 GB partition should be where macOS is installed.

The 450 MB partition should be your macOS Recovery partition. You normally should be able to boot to this by holding down Command + R.

The 100 MB partition - I don't know.

And lastly, the 120.60 GB is Windows.

I hope someone can figure out how you can either reinstall macOS or if it's still there, get it to boot.

Thanks, no worries, im trying to figure it out while I post as much information as i can. As of right now, the options only windows OS shows up. I shall try command + R again and attempt a recovery, I think last i checked it didnt allow me to do so or it didnt show any other partition

No one else has an idea of how I can resolve this issue?

Well, I'm not an expert in partitions, but this seems odd to me. If the 450 MB partition is MacOS recovery, why does it have NTFS as its File System? NTFS can only be read by windows. Macs have to format such drives (I'm not saying that you should do this! Once again I'm no expert)

I too noticed that the partition labeled "Recovery" was formatted as NTFS. A Recovery partition on a Mac should be formatted to a Mac format. Which again leads me to believe macOS was overwritten during the Boot Camp process.

I believe member "Meghz" is probably going to have completely wipe that drive and reinstall macOS. That will mean a loss of data but without a backup there's not much else one can do.

The issue im having is, I never formatted the 350GIG, the recover I may have deleted when windows wouldnt allow me to click next for install. I thought there were too many partitions. I am positive I didnt delete the 350GIG portion of it.

Also ive noticed when I went to Internet Recovery, clicking reinstall OS doesnt allow me to install it on the 350gig partition.

Also that when I updated PCI express drivers could this have caused it to now allow me to switch to macOS when pression options.

Do you think I should get more opinions on this matter before wiping everything clean, Or is there a software I can use to recover those files if they arent formatted just undetectable by windows

By all means get more opinions. Lots of experience to rely on in these forums. As for using software to possibly try and recover your files, there are some apps that you can try with: Data Rescue, Disk Drill, and some others. Some data recovery apps have a trial version which you can download and test with to see if it can recover your data. If the test is successful, you can then buy a license.

Was this resolved? I booted into Win10 for the first time in "I do not know how long" and now I cannot boot into OSX through windows. I do not want to have to pop my gt120 in every time I go back to OSX.

I forget where I found links to the bootcamp drivers, so I am hunting for those. I have not updated them since upgrading to High Sierra.
