Dear Friends, help me to choose CPU to upgrade my 1CPU cMP 3.1.

As I understand it is not worth using 3.2 GHz CPU because of TDP 150w vs 3.0 TPD 80-120 (E or X version).

So, I have question: which CPU I can use with Mac Pro 3.1 2008:
1) X5472 or E 5472
2) SLASA or SLANR? (As I remember from my previous researches, for X5472 there is no difference, but maybe I mistaken).

As I know SLBB would not work in cMP.

I'm using cMP for Video and Photo Editing (FCPX, LightRoom, Photoshop).

Oh, it's nice. It is what I was looking for!

Please send me your offer by PM.
[doublepost=1547995279][/doublepost]Does somebody know are there any differences between X5472 and E5472 CPU?
The X5472 is rated at 120W TDP and the E5472 is rated at 80W TDP. Other than that they appear to be identical in every other way.

I upgraded to dual X5482 4 or 5 years ago now...
Honestly haven’t noticed any heat issues.

I have a lot of stuff in my 3,1 and HWSensors reports that at idle I’m using 210 watts for the whole machine, under full load (800% CPU) from handbrake I’ve only seen it peak at 330 watts. I do use a different fan speed profile, but unless you are actively pushing heavy load to it the fans never need to speed up.

I think that you pay for electricity more (than on E5472) for nothing... I mean X5472 vs E5472, as I have read there is not much visible difference for 200hz...
