Yeah, I would probably get the eight 4GB modules for $50...that looks like a good, going rate. And I wouldn’t worry about being 667MHz. Those are way more plentiful and therefore less expensive than 800MHz.

Yep. Remember, just 2Rx4. Do not buy 4Rx4 memory for Mac Pros.

hay got to ask, why not use 4Rx4 ram?

wow just looked on ebay, ram for macpro3.1 is super cheep now £5.50 for 8gb (2x 4GB) :eek: i paid close to £100 for that much a few years back :D how time go's by

the small heat sinks ok on a 3.1?
