There has been a great deal of talk [months ago] about what RAM to get for a MacPro and from whom to get it.... Up until recently the RAM prices have been "fairly" consistent between all the major players.... I've been checking out 3 vendors.... OWC, Crucial and TransIntl As of yesterday.... the is for 4gig in a 2x2 configuration OWC wanted $270 for NetList version and $160 for "Apple Certified" Crucial wanted $356 TransIntl wanted $158 I "assume" that the TransIntl memory is equivalent to OWC's "Apple Certified"? but what commands the $110 difference for "NetList", and Crucial wanting $86 more than that? I want to get good reliable memory for my MacPro, and am willing to spend an appropriate amount for it, but I don't want to spend 50-100% more to get the same thing. So.... in the past few months.... has anyone purchased MacPro Ram for any of these vendors.... why did you choose who you did? what results, both product and service wise did you get?
