Does anyone know if the internal SATA drives on the MacPros are hot swappable?

They're not. Don't try. The XServe drives are hot-swappable.

Like Tallest Skil said, nope they are not. I wanted to add that if you use one of the port extender kits to route the two extra SATA ports out to the back as eSATA ports, those are not hot swappable either.

You'll need a PCIe SATA card for hot swappng.
