Macros on Excel 2008 for Mac

I have Excel 2008 for Macbook. I'm trying to create a new Macro. I found it under Tools. However, I don't see the record button. How do I create a Macro? Please help!

No Macro capability in Mac Office 2008, unfortunately. So other spreadsheets with macros can be opend but without any of the macros working.....

The new Mac Office 2011 has reinstated macros....
