FYI, our president is Barack Obama. The Cold War is over. The Berlin wall is no more. Oh, and we went to the moon. :)

Except for the moon part...

Any chance of adding "A4" to the MacRumors rankings? If so -- where would it fit in?

Nowhere. The processor rankings are for chips used in Macs. You know, those things MacRumors never reports on anymore. ;)

Macs... macs???? Oh yeah!!!!! Now I remember. :) Forgot about those because Apple no longer holds media events for launching new Mac stuff. They just silently release updates.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the 6502 series were used in the Apple II line of computers and not Macs (I think my Apple IIc --- which is still around here somewhere --- had a 6502c processor) -- so I was just thinking of the iPad as the next thing in the Apple computer line. But then again, this website has been nothing but iPhone rumors since the launch of iPhone-4.

But what is the iPhone-4 but the iPad-nano, right?

I stand corrected. They are processors used in Apple computers, not handheld devices. better? ;)

I've perused the FAQ, but a couple of related things don't appear clear to me. There are only 5 posts between 65832 and 68000, and similarly between 68010 and 68020.

Is there some historical Apple or MR significance to this? Did I overlook something?

This question occured to me, too, and I thank MacDawg and dmr727 for their responses. A very interesting and informative thread; I laughed a lot and learned a bit while reading it - MR at its best.

Cheers
