I've certainly never seen the black bandage before. But y'know how in karate the black belts are reserved for the best? Maybe they're trying to tell you that you're just that good!

I normally don't care what color bandage they put on my arm after a blood donation, except that I ask for a red bandage when it's the annual MacRumors Blood Drive, so I can post a photo with a red bandage and the year written on it.

Otherwise, since I'm red-green color blind, I not sure what color bandage I get, and I don't care. Today I got a dark bandage, which I assumed was red. But when I got home from the donor center, Mrs. Q told me that I had on a black bandage.

Aren't black arm bandages a sign of mourning? I'm surprised they'd use black bandages at the donor center. Have any of you encountered black arm bandages when donating?
Never saw that in any donor clinic or hospital before.
