I normally don't care what color bandage they put on my arm after a blood donation, except that I ask for a red bandage when it's the annual MacRumors Blood Drive, so I can post a photo with a red bandage and the year written on it.
Otherwise, since
I'm red-green color blind, I not sure what color bandage I get, and I don't care. Today I got a dark bandage, which I assumed was red. But when I got home from the donor center, Mrs. Q told me that I had on a black bandage.

Aren't black arm bandages a sign of mourning? I'm surprised they'd use black bandages at the donor center. Have any of you encountered black arm bandages when donating?
