I hate cases so I keep going through them searching for anything that can satisfy, when I really just want to use the naked phone. But the 6 is so flipping slick it's too risky for some situations. So, you gotta have a case on hand (at least I do, I'm making monthly payments!).

ANYWAY. I've used a lot. I like the Elago slimfit and KAVAJ Tokyo. But I'm settling on the Apple olive brown for most situations. For me it's the perfect balance of protection, simplicity, and grip.

And now I sound like Jony Ive. Eh hem.. "Here at Appul, we wanted to design a cayse.. that felt as if it disappeared in to youe fingehs, in to.... nothingness..... Because nothingness is, ultimately... everything we try to achieve."

"Now excuse me while I go design a car that you will be driving in 5 years."

I like the KAVAJ Tokyo because it is slim, lightweight and with the cut outs, makes the iPhone6 seem naked. Love the two rear pockets for temporary odds and ends. The tan color doesn't change either.

I like the KAVAJ Dallas because it is identical to the Tokyo above, but with a flip cover that acts as the best screen protector, and it also cleans the screen of dust and fingerprints, like magic!! Also a great privacy screen.

I like the Apple leather case for how it forms to the iPhone. Like the open bottom and it fits my docks, which the KAVAJ do not. Don't really like the dark brown it turned into. But it is fine.

I like the Tech 21 EVO Mesh from the Apple store version because it is high tech drop resistance (D3O, shock absorbing material), flexible TPU, easy on and easy off and full coverage, with a nice lip. A nice protective case, when needed.

I like the Sena Heritage Pouch, for when I use it.

I have a $5 clear, thin TPU case that is easy on and easy off, and makes the phone appear naked.

For the beach, water sports, fishing, etc, nothing beats the LifeProof for a temporary case in that situation.

In general I don't drop iPhones anymore, but if they were naked I probably would. So I use cases to prevent that. I wish Jony Ives would knurled the iPhone edges for more grip. But even at that, placing the phone down...I feel the need to be delicate.

Just the facts, madam.

Just wish I didn't feel compelled to re buy all these over again with each new iPhone generation!!!

Two favorites:

Speck Candyshell Grip (great protection and feel)
Tech21 Evo Mesh (looks great and easy to take off/on)

Shouldn't it be titled "would you recommend your case" instead?

I like Incipio Dual Pro on 6, hate it on 6+, still trying to find a good case for my 6+ actually because I have Griffin Identity and it started to crack.

Speck Mightyshell really great drop protection and has a raised lip, too.

Used to love spigen tough armor but the iPhone 6 version has no front lip at all.

Tough question--there are so many nice cases! Here are some of my favorites for the iPhone 6 Plus:

  • Thule Atmos X3 is always at the top of my list. Tough construction, extremely scratch resistant, lovely grippy TPE rubber on the sides and most of the back. My 6+ feels exceedingly secure in this case.
  • Griffin Survivor Core is so pretty, and so extremely thin, that it is hard to believe it has 6 foot drop protection. This case really shows off the beauty of your iPhone 6+.
  • Tech21 Classic Shell with Cover is a great case for the 6+ if you are looking for a screen cover, but you don't need a wallet functionality. Despite the lack of any mechanism to keep the cover closed, it seems to stay closed pretty well by itself. The material has a nice feel in the hand and your 6+ feels very well protected. The camera cut out is a bit on the large side, but otherwise the cut outs seem well designed and all the buttons are easy to push. It's a very pleasant case to use.
  • ZeroChroma VarioProtect is a fairly basic (but entirely competent) TPU case from the front, but on the back it has an extremely versatile stand which can rotate 360 degrees, allowing it to be used in both portrait and landscape orientations. It can also be placed in a wide variety of angles, from low typing positions to very upright movie watching positions. This stand functionality also allows the case to work with ZeroChroma's proprietary armband and car mounts, which really expands the case's usability. It's a really neat case.
  • The Dock Artisan Sport Leather Wallet Combo Case is a bit on the pricey side at $80, but it seems extremely well made and just exudes quality. A two piece case, it has an inner phone case that attaches magnetically to an outer wallet case. The magnet is attached to the outer wallet case and the inner phone case just has some metal sandwiched between its layers of leather and polycarbonate. The combination works very well and the phone case remains attached very securely to the outer wallet until you pull it off. The wallet functionality works very well, with four card slots and two inside slide pockets. Very nice leather quality as well. Love this case!

These are my favorite iPhone 6 cases. The order is from most used to least used

#1= :apple: leather (red), its just so slim and the leather feels great, love how its wearing also.

#2= Spigen Neo-hybrid metal, The cool feeling of the metal when not in use for a while is pretty awesome.

#3= Moshi iGlaze Armor, same reason as above.

#4= Spigen Slim Armor, I love that the buttons are responsive by are recessed.

Are you using the Dock Artisan case? If so how do you like it?

I am so impressed with the Doc Artisan case. They sent it to me last week and it is just outstanding. Leather is great, magnets work perfectly (honestly, I was the most dubious on the magnet part, but my fears were quite unfounded. They are very strong), and the wallet case is just extremely nice. I'll be posting a full review soon!!

Thanks looking forward to the full review

I've been a loyal Caudabe Veil user since the iPhone 5. Super thin and fits very well. I'm not a thick case guy so this one really fits the bill. There ae a bunch of cheap Ebay thin cases these days, but the Caudabe has proved to be the best quality both in fit and design. Their customer service is also unbelievable. I've literally never encountered another company other than Apple that goes out of their way to make their customers happy.

And I just received the newest version of the Veil today, the Veil XT. It seems to be the same as the Veil but also covers the bottom. Good case just got better.
