MacRumors Beachball

For the last two weeks or so, MacRumors is often hanging and showing a beach ball cursor when ads are trying to load (I'm forced to quit and then reload the browser). This occurs on the main page and in the forums.

I'm viewing Mac Rumors in the latest version of Safari under High Sierra and MacRumors is the only site I have issues with.

Are you able to test if this happens in a different browser? I'm testing Safari and Firefox but haven't run into issues.

The only site I've gotten the beach ball from is the Verge's but even that is just for a second.

I haven't tried any other browsers.

No problems at all today with the webpage / ads loading. I wonder if it's because an ad that was causing problems for me is no longer showing ?
