Voting for Round 1 has ENDED.
We now have two options:
1. Continue as planned with the top avatars
2. Reopen the nomination process for avatars not previous nominated, and do a round one for the new entries, and the have those winners meet up the other winners for round 2.

I think at this point in time you should to go forward with #1.
In the future, should you decide to do this again, you may want to keep the nomination period open a bit longer.

edit: If you'd like to know how your "Yes, mom." post read to me, it was like this: "I don't care what you said so I'm going to write a flippant post that implies you're nothing more than an old grumpy mother." Maybe you didn't mean it like that but it came across that way to me and I didn't really appreciate it. I'm in favour of moving on though so I'll harbour no hard feelings if maybe you can avoid trying to push my buttons.

Maaaaaaajor misunderstanding. I saw you point about the bickering, as I think I commented on myself earlier, and was simply trying to lighten moods with a little light sarcasm. It is, after all, a fairly benign thread. I can at times come across "flippant" when in reality, 99% of the time I do it intentionally to lighten things up. Taken in context with my oft misunderstood deadpan, I can see where it went awry.
