Is that a user controlled bot or does it post off RSS feed automatically? I'm starting a baseball site soon and curious how MacRumors does theirs?

The "MacRumors Bot" forum user is entirely automated. MacRumors editors posts news stories using the self-developed MacRumors content management system, which automatically generates the posts by user "MacRumors" and the RSS feed.

Are you planning to use commercial software for your site?

I was going to use vBulletin as my forum software and thinking of using vbAdvance (i think it's called?) as my front page software. The vbAdvanced actually looks very similar to your front page layout.
